I saw Cliffdiver headline a few weeks ago and one of their singers literally went up to every single person before their set to thank them for coming out. Great band too.

 

Can someone remind me what is wrong? Was it cancer?

 

yea it was cancer, I forget the name but it was on his spine so it would make his limbs weak and numb. He is in remission, but literally his last chemo treatment was just a few weeks before the tour started.

 

From what I understand, he’s not in remission and still fighting. The tumours are still very much there, they just haven’t grown or gotten any worse since he’s started his latest round of chemo treatments. He’s having his next round of chemo in between legs of this tour.

 

Ok, he said the chemo had kicked the cancers ass. And he talked about having a new lease on life and almost dying a few times there. I thought he was all clear.

 

He’s definitely been making amazing progress the last however many months, which has been great. Hopefully the cancer responds just as well to the next round of chemo!

 

I definitely wish the best for Chad. Big props to him for going out on tour while battling cancer. He’s a trooper!

Yup. He was on a podcast even more recently where he says what I said above. Chemo seems to be working, everything is shrinking or at least not growing, and his next treatments are during the break coming up in the AAR tour, and if things keep trending the right way he’ll be back out there

 

well this is certainly one of the crazier stories to come out of 2023. They have been offered insane amounts of money to play shows and David Byrne has literally stated never. Now this obviously isn’t a show but it’s a positive step in the right direction.

 

This seems like a short notice to announce a tour like this, but I also don’t doubt tickets will go quick

 

LDR touring is so strange....she hasn't played the NYC market in 4 years.

 

Probably took some time to get her shifts covered at Waffle House.

 

Scarcity seems to be the name of the game for artists attempting to be top tier.

 

It def seems like it's on purpose. She's playing smaller markets it seems, and shows are still selling out quickly. I really want to see her live but the two previous times were ruined by chatty crowds.

 

Yeah she oddly doesn't tour NA very often, must hate it and/or the $$$ from festival offers makes up for it.
