I wish they’d bring this to Toronto. We have absolutely fuck all for fests up here

 

If it keeps doing as well as it did last year I bet you they do next year

 

I can see this being an ongoing thing with them. There’s plenty of other areas they could branch out to

 

As someone who lives in San Diego and drives to LA for a ton of shows, fuck in-person sales lol

 

Yeah unless you live in the city or have a lot of time, in person sales fucks over everyone else who doesn't

 

In person sales suck especially if they’re weekday during the morning/afternoon. Even if they are the same time on the weekends, it’s just difficult to get to a venue to get tickets in person.

 

If its Nor Cal they'll probably go with Heart Health Park in Sacramento. They've hosted Swan Fest, multiple Sad Summer Fests, Punk In Drublic, etc before. Pretty cool venue that I believe is about 10k. Soccer field and seats are all GA from everything they have had there.

In person sales is even better for scalpers they got whole ass groups to figure out what to get

One of the Ohio is for Lovers Fest dates is at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati on September 9.

 

I thought that date was announced a while ago for some reason

 

It was they did an early bird ticket sale back in November that sold out

Yeah I think it was announced last year along with Tennessee Is For Lovers which is taking place near Nashville

 

Wild list of bands all around... But that Saturday line-up is perfect.

 

Foo Fighters did this for their two Citi Field shows in 2015. If I remember correctly, it's a good way to fill some of cheap seats at lower costs and also make a fun event out of it. That being said, I don't think this Forest Hills show will struggle.

 

This is completely random and probably won't work, but if anyone is in Nashville and wants to go to Joywave tomorrow at Basement East, I may have you. I got 8 tickets and now I'm down to 5 people (including me) and the way the tickets came through (its ticketweb), I have no clue how to split them apart and sell them.

If anyone is interested, message me and there's a good chance I say just meet me there and when I go in with my friends, I'll scan you in. The 3 extra are from last minute bails, and they paid me already and don't expect a refund so I'm not looking for money. I just hate that they may be wasted.

TLDR: Joywave in Nashville 4/8 @ Basement East - Free tickets. Anyone want in?

 

I'd 100% travel from PA for this if we weren't going to a baseball game tomorrow night. Seeing them in Harrisburg next week. Love Joywave.
