20th anniversary for Away From The Sun

 

One of the best curated festivals in the states (Pitchfork) just dropped their lineup let’s goooooo

 

that is one indie rock ass festival

 

The Smile, Alvvays and Youth Lagoon (!!) are enough to get me there Friday.

 

Bon Iver, Killer Mike, Peggy, Illuminati Hotties and Soul Glo is one helluva day

 

I hate to admit I went to the original tour for this album at The Agora Theater.

Even worse, I think I would most likely go again if I had nothing to do and if it’s super cheap.

 

Definite groupon tour but cool lineup.

 

Surprised that this is gonna be at Five Point and not the OC Fair. Gonna try to hit it up, regardless

at least in the east coast, there really haven’t been a lot of Groupon tours in the past year.

 

As expected, no Toronto date since Offspring/Simple Plan just played a bunch of shows here, but I’m hoping Sum 41 gives us something later this year.

 

At what point do tours like this start ending up on the state fair free stage circuit?

I read this as she is a medic and shes just listing the injuries she saw/had to treat? Less like a badge of honor more like "this is all the shit that happened this weekend"

Considering 95% of these injuries were probably self-induced, does it matter?

 

In its context - I do not think the Tweet in question is cringe at all. She isn’t bragging about the injuries. She might be building herself up a bit by listing all of the people she treated. But, hey, let her go off.

I didn’t really think it was bragging, but more-so bringing attention to how dangerous hardcore shows have been and how people need to start taking care of each other

 

Hardcore in non-hardcore places strikes again.

 

This is how I read it with a bit of the humblebrag. No shade to her or anyone here - just curious about the context I felt like I was missing!
