Yay for having to drop more money. Just bought Weezer tickets a couple weeks back.

    Things have changed.

The Offspring brought Simple Plan out in Canada recently, and Sum 41 in Japan and Australia (I think). So bringing them both out in the U.S. makes sense.

I think The Offspring brought Sum 41 to Canada too haha.

This will be a fun tour for sure. It’s just interesting that Sum 41 and Simple Plan would tour together again so soon

I highly doubt any Offspring/SP/Sum 41 tour would come here since the first two just played here together, but I’d be all over that if it did

Tonight’s the last show of NFG’s acoustic tour. Would tomorrow be too hopeful for the AAR tour to be announced?

    I couldn’t care less about Simple Plan but I would 100% go to a Offspring/Sum 41 show.

Somehow, I haven’t seen either live.

  8. I’ve seen them all but not since like 2005.

I think that tour was 2003. Authority Zero also opened I believe.

I finally got to cross Sum 41 off my list right before the pandemic, in late 2019.
They blew my socks off. A really cool stage production for a mid size show too (3.6k cap venue).

I’ve only seen Sum 41 at Warped 2016 and it was such a fun set. I was front row. I think right after their set they had to fly to Europe for some festivals. Crazy stuff

I've never seen Sum-41 headline but between 2001 and 2009 I saw them roughly 7-8 times between Warped Tours, opening slots, and other random festivals. Killer every single time. The last time I saw them on that "run" was actually opening up for the Offspring! They were direct support with an acoustic Frank Turner as the main opener. Really fun show.

Last time I saw them was Riot Fest in 2017 and they were great then too. An Offspring/Sum-41 tour would probably get me to buy a ticket because I know they're really good... And the Offspring are "fine" live still.

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

Sum 41 and Simple Plan are both two of the most consistent live bands in their scene. If Blink was that consistent, a band that means a hell of a lot more to me, I'd have seen them 6-7 times too.

My first SP show was probably 5-6 months before their first record came out (they were actually called A Simple Plan at the time), and they were handing out free demos before their set. My brother and I grabbed one, checked out their set, and we knew immediately they were going to blow up. From day one they’ve been an excellent live band

Are we bragging about the amount of injuries at shows (in the pit presumably) now? That is new to me haha. Was anyone here in attendance?

I was there. Ironically, I was fine this year but last year at the same fest I busted my head and got a concussion during my first set of the day. The person who posted this helped keep an eye on me most of that day.

my guess is many of those injuries did happen in the pit (likely the result of crowdkilling) but most of them were probably stage dive related. Like 1/4 of all the people who dove were just eating shit

I like heavy shows, but this is sort of why I've stayed away from Knocked Loose. I get the vibe that their fans are too rough and they really take pride in the 'if you're not bleeding, you're not doing it right' mentality. I like a good metalcore show where those that want to pit, do, but they also look out for everyone around them, especially making sure that they don't spill into the portion of the crowd where that's not their thing.

On a related note, I really hate when acts police how the audience have fun and try to get everyone to participate in things to the point of awkwardness. If someone's version of having fun is standing around with RBF, let them (me) enjoy in peace and don't make them squat as low as they can and wave their hands in the air just so you feel cool and connected to the audience.

I will say- LDB is not indicative of a typical Knocked Loose set- and while their set was crazy- most of those injuries happened before it.

if you want to see them on just a regular tour I think you can do that and have a reasonable expectation of being safe
