Haha, I remember that as well. I actually liked both bands at the time (Rivers co-wrote Cold's semi-hit "Stupid Girl" in 2003). I saw the tour at Jones Beach and was bummed that I wasn't in the Orchestra until the tide from the ocean went OVER the rails and into the orchestra section, leaving all the miserable people down there standing in 3-4 inches of water. Weezer were boring as fuck on that tour, glad they've somewhat upped their game.

Finally, can one of you fuckers just drop some super obvious hints as to who is on this so we can stop this madness?

No way Japanese Breakfast is touring w/WEezer. They are playing a bunch of festivals and also have a hometown show at Radio City scheduled for the fall.

 

And they have some dates of that Beck/Phoenix tour

The funny thing about Weezer is, they could announce a tour with literally anybody and it wouldn't surprise me.

I believe Weezer/Tegan & Sara are playing a few fests together. That’s where my original guess came from especially if it is “indie” or whatever. We’ll see soon I guess!

I only know my local dates openers but neither have been guessed yet

 

hell yeah! remember them being so statuesque for that show but really opening it up on the Foozer tour.
