LCD/JamieXX/Idles/Big Freedia sounds like a hell of a show, but also not sure I want to drop $100+ just to get in the door

I don’t disagree it can seem steep but you’re also getting Clairo, Bartees and Dijon who are all big in their own right. So you’re not just paying for boygenius.

LCD, Jamie XX & Idles would cost over $100 to see them all separately but it's going to be like over 100 degrees with humidity that time of year in Nola.. ooof

LCD by themselves in Brooklyn last year came out to just under $100

Steve Lacy/James Blake/Toro Y Moi/Foushee in the same day is a must for me to travel to Dallas for.

It’s also starting at $99. I would imagine with tickets being through AXS that things will shift upwards. The price is where the market is now, but that doesn’t mean it still isn’t a bummer. Both things can be true, even if it is beating the same drum.

For what it's worth, FOB struggled to sellout same venue in Boston with Green Day, Weezer, and The Interrupters in 2021. I guess they've put out new music, so that might help, but are BMTH matching Green Day/Weezer sales?

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

$99 for boygenuis kinda sucks and I get the hesitation, but all three of them (Phoebe, Lucy, Julien) got pretty big (Phoebe especially) since they first started that project, so I understand why they’re priced that way

Also Clairo is massive with Gen Z so she also drives up the price. She’s bigger than Lucy and Julien.

WHY does Fall Out Boy in Chicago have to be three days before Boygenius and LCD lmao

Also FWIW, each act on the Re:Set tour is getting a full set. The festival runs from like 3-10PM every day.

That bill didn't really "struggle" to sell out Fenway. That show sold really well. There were just a bunch of really bad seats that didn't go until the show got close, if memory serves.

The combo of Fall Out Boy/BMTH and Four Year Strong definitely won't sell as well as Hella Mega did. But I'm pretty confident that, between the two bands, and it being a "big Fenway show" that it'll sell decently.

It almost definitely won't sell out. But that doesn't mean it's a flop or a failure...

They don’t even have BMTH on that date. I’m guessing there will be a nice Groupon on stadium seats for that one

Are you referring to Fenway? BMTH is playing there. It's FOB, BMTH, Four Year Strong, and Royal & The Serpent

    Things have changed.

Virtually every act who books a stadium understands there will be papering/Groupons/etc. to fill every seat. And they're fine with that. The appeal and look of playing places like Fenway, Wrigley, etc. is worth the small ego hit.

Yeah, baseball stadium shows are relatively rare. The appeal is that it’ll be a once in a lifetime show for a lot of people.
