My first time seeing FOB was the Save Rock and Roll club tour in 2013. I was 16 and they were my favorite band in the world. It was my first non DIY- Christcore show ever.

They played a 3K cap room in my city and opened with Thriller into I Slept With Someone In Fall Out Boy. Tell That Mick was on the setlist too. there was an actual mosh pit, and everyone there knew the words to every song.

after the show, I met Joe Trohman outside the venue and he was super nice. It was a perfect night.

I don’t think we’ll ever see them do anything like that again (and if they tried I think their last two albums and newer fans would definitely throw off the vibe).

I would love to see a small room going crazy to TTYG, but the ticket prices/availability would be a nightmare.

I think the best thing us pre-hiatus fans can ask for is a return to Folie/SRAR form on this next album, and MAYBE an old album play at Riot Fest someday

Apparently this new album is being put out by FBR and the single is at least a "return to form." Not holding out hope for an album play but this is encouraging for some of the old school fans (i.e. me). Fall Out Boy return to Fueled by Ramen for new album, share new song "Love From The Other Side"

Yeah, with a new album coming soon, dont think they will do an anniversary tour.

Really hope they do the album play at Riot Fest tho

The venn diagram between Fall Out Boy fans and The National is probably non-existent but I'm psyched for both announcements today.

That’s not like the best tour musically, but that’s a great tour from a marketing standpoint and will be beneficial to everyone on that tour.

FOB dropped the single and album info with no tour dates...could be coming later I guess

Perhaps the dates will be announced on the 26th to coincide with Bamboozle?

Pappy & Harriet’s is an odd venue for a tour like this. They rarely (if ever) have punk bands like this

Crazy that Bouncing Souls are announcing show so far in advance. Portland show with Anti Flag and Catbite popped up for October. It’s been over 10 years since I’ve seen BS or AF so I’m super excited for that one. Catbite is great too. I’m definitely buying tickets immediately.

Gotta ask: Portland, ME or Portland, OR? Assuming OR but hoping for Me. Haha.

And FWIW? Both Anti-Flag and the Souls absolutely crush live!

If that's the Sad Summer lineup then 4/8 are already repeat acts only 3 years into the fest

I remember back in like, 2003, there were rumors of a Pop Disaster Tour 2 that was Green Day and Foo Fighters with Tenacious D opening. I was so stoked at the time!

Now, I'm not sure how I'd feel about it. I've seen evidence that Green Day can reign it in and tighten things up a bit to put on a briefer show... But I'm not convinced that Foo Fighters wouldn't waste time with their usual "let's turn 'Monkey Wrench' into an 8-minute jam session" bullshit that has gotten to be more annoying than Green Day's "King for a Day" schtick.

Of course, I say this like I wouldn't buy tickets immediately and for whatever price if it were to be announced. Haha.

I mean, that's kinda the curse of hyper-focused/niche festivals...
