I just wish they play more than 2 additional songs if this tour does happen. For the WIITB 10 year tour they obviously played WIITB straight through - ending with Ender then came back out for the encore which was Stars (HUM cover), Worms of the Earth and finally WIITB. Need some SHTS and even some of the newer stuff.

And DGD opened for them.

    Yeah, it's happening.

I caught Doll Skin at 8123 Fest last year & their set was so fun, this is a bummer

I'm not too surprised by this one. It never felt like they got the traction they needed, no real big landmark album. It's still a bummer, as I feel they were one of very few active non-binary and female representation within that particular subsect of pop punk.

Maybe I’m misremembering, but didn’t some drama/controversy go down with them too? I feel like something happened with them. Or I might be mistaking them with another band

They're playing ALTer Ego in LA on Saturday. My guess is they’ll debut it there, and we’ll get a tour announcement next week

A tour announcement Wednesday with a presale the next day or Friday sounds about right

I typically advise against bands debuting songs live on streamed/televised events but Patrick is a good singer so this shouldn't be a problem. On the other hand, when MCR debuted "Welcome To The Black Parade" live on the MTV awards in 2006 it definitely exposed that Gerard has a lot of studio help.

wonder if they are doing festivals this year then a full blown tour in 2024

almost surely, spend the year playing festivals with your new lineup and don’t over commit to doing a full tour in case it either doesn’t work out or the mental toll is too much

Not surprisingly a lot of these Muna shows are selling out quick. Surprised they didn't try to do 5-6k venues in the major cities.

Are Dead & Co really bigger than Ed Sheeran and Lizzo???

In terms of venues? Probably about the same. Lizzo and Sheeran are inarguably "more popular" at this point but... Legacy will put you above artists you might be reasonably close to in size.

Dead & Co play baseball stadiums and this is their last tour. I think at a fest like this them being the top name makes sense

    Things have changed.

Ed Sheeran is a much bigger live act than Dead & Co. – every one of his summer 2023 dates is an NFL stadium – but the latter being first billed is a legacy thing.

I don't know if it's "picky" so much as "accurate." Haha.

It looks like one of those fake leak posters people post on Reddit where they have like, U2 playing on the third line billed under Shaggy, the Offspring, and a country singer who passed away two years ago.
