I know more bands in Sunday undercard and I think its pretty good with Linda Lindas, Brutus and Couch. Friday and Saturday I dont know any bands after The Beaches and The Aces respectively

 

I think we're running out of band names as a society

what if we just applied like the copyright rule where it expires after 75 years to band names like in 2070 or something somebody else gets to be the beatles

 

are you all really that surprised by not knowing the undercard?

boston calling has always had a discovery/local aspect

call me crazy but checking out new things is part of the appeal of a festival

there was once a time when both lizzo and halsey had 1:30pm slots after locals

 

Aside from (most of) the headliners and the Flaming Lips, that lineup is kinda weak

Agreed. Discovering bands at Warped Tour and stuff was always part of the fun.

 

as a teenager? Yes. As a 34 year old? No

 

I don't know a ton of the Boston Calling undercard, but Mint Green is well worth checking out.

 

as a 34 year old, you can now simply log onto Spotify and search for each of the undercard bands in advance, and decide if there's any you want to see. the future is now!

 

Out of all the festivals that have been announced so far this one is hands down my favorite lineup

This lineup is bonkers but Jawbreaker is gonna have a rough go I feel

 

Today I learned that Alesso and Odesza are not the same person.

 

I’ll go to Boston Calling every year regardless of the lineup. The food alone is worth it but I’m looking forward to discovering new artists

 

they are the new “metal/hardcore festival representation” band. See also: desdheaven, gatecreeper, Touche amore

 

I like that Bonnaroo always books heavy bands, but I was not expecting seeing Knocked Loose in there.

Also when people said Korn was at Bonnaroo I thought they were joking

 

If you like The Aces, check out The Beaches. Saw them open for The Aces and they're really good.

They must be giving Jawbreaker a good paycheck for them to play a lineup like this (also wtf is SWR doing on this lineup?)
