Taylor Swift is...too big to headline Coachella. The Swifties would crash the on-sale and the usual fest attendees would be pissed.

  2. would be best to announce her after the vast majority tickets have sold

I don't even want to imagine the crowd issues of a 50k general admission festival with Taylor Swift headlining

He’ll be asked back if they really want him lol. He’s one of the biggest artists ever

Is Lana Del Rey headliner status for Coachella? She does well in big markets but I don't know if she's an all-arena-all-the-time act. That being said, her lack of US touring could probably build up demand.

she was scheduled to sub in 2020, bet she still subs

  7. i was at Rock in Rio a few years ago when she headlined. it wasn't too insane, really. and i was like 10 rows from her probably. that was the first stop on the 1989 tour though, so it was awhile ago.

At this point Im not even sure if Frank Ocean will play even when they announced as the first headliner for 2023.

Not sure if Dua Lipa will be touring, but I can see her headling Coachella. And as RATM cancelled their tour maybe Metallica or RHCP?

    both of those are out

I’m thinking Kendrick / Dua Lipa / Frank Ocean (possibly SZA as a backup)

    Things have changed.

I'd rather go to a butt rock festival than a jam band festival. Yuck.

As a queer person, the jam band community and its fests have been some of the most welcoming. The amount of misguided testosterone at a butt rock festival terrifies me.

The jam culture def ain’t for everyone tho.

This, but imagine it says "jam bands" instead of "jazz" and "play the agreed-upon part"

Why do you go to so many jam band fests if you hate jam bands

I don’t know about that, both are very white overall but SCamp, Bonnaroo, and Hulaween all have fairly diverse crowds. Things like Peach Fest and Mountain Jam, yea def white AF, but they’re also in much more white locales.
