A few years ago I would have been all about that Real Friends/Knuckle Puck tour but now I have no interest at all haha

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

The $25 all-in ticket tours are starting to pop up, I see.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

I misread the poster as “Between The Buried and Me” and was so confused

These bands are just touring too much for me to care. Even though I’m not super into new Real Friends they were just here less than a month and a half ago. It’s way too soon for them to be hitting those same markets.

Looks like RF/KP are rotating who closes each night according to the posters. Rochester show is 400 cap with KP closing and Albany the next night is 1000 cap with RF closing

Petition for more posters to look like that Knuckle Puck/Real Friends poster. It's always super disappointing to see what looks like a stacked bill only to see that 1-2 of the bands are actually hitting my city. I get it with the footnotes but... That gets confusing as hell.

Just keep it clean and straight-forward.

Tbh I agree about pop punk bands touring too often, even though it’s how they make their money. People who go see them x time will not go see them again y time if it’s within like, a year. This is how they make their money though so I get it.

For me personally I’d rather see other acts who tour less unless it’s an artist I love.

Probably why New Found Glory is doing an “acoustic” tour as a way to switch it up.

I'm glad I skipped the Champs tour now that I know Between You & Me are coming back with better bands in April.

If the Palatine is at Durty Nellie's then I would highly recommend going. Awesome venue, my favorite in Chicagoland.

I thought the venue itself was nice, but didn't like that they don't allow drinks on the main floor. At least that's how it was when I saw Joyce Manor there a few years ago...

Robbie's Vegas residency pre-COVID was a great chance for long-suffering US RW fans to finally see his show, and though it was packed with Vegas-style covers and only a handful of his songs it was a great time. He cancelled the second leg due to COVID and still hasn't brought them back. Wish he would.

the tour manager negotiating a higher guarantee in exchange for a higher merch cut when the tour manager gets a bigger cut of the guarantee than any band member is ridiculously shady as well.

Yeah that's an ass-backwards way of doing things. Makes everyone but the act more money.

Isn’t bad omens saying “When you pay more in merch % than your guarantee = play for free” super misleading? Like, you’re getting the guarantee, and even if that merch 20% is more than the guarantee, they’re still keeping 80% of merch sales on top of the guarantee, right? It’s hard for me to be that upset of losing 20% on merch that is already insanely marked up to begin with

what they are saying is the cut from merch they have had to give was more than their guarantee. They are saying the venue shouldn’t be getting more money back from the band than they had to pay for the band.

and to Bad Omens point, the venue also gets parking, coat check, food, the bar that they don’t see money from.

Are Bad Omens paying security, EMTs, bartenders, cleanup, box office staff, sanitation and any of the other dozens of employees it costs to run a show at that level?

Most merch cuts help independent promoters/venues cover in-house day of show expenses or it goes right back into the next show. No one is swimming in money at that level on any side.

All depends on the size room, guarantee, etc. Too many variables.
