Gotta be honest, the people who care about Tom reuniting with Blink are die hard fans and people on forums like this and Reddit who keep up with band news. To pretty much everyone else, he hasn’t even left the band.

Also, I just don’t think they are big enough for stadiums. MCR didn’t even shoot for stadiums, and Tom reuniting won’t even reach that level.

Yeah maybe I’m underestimating, but Blink/Paramore doesn’t scream stadium even with Tom coming back. They’d need another big band or two to even attempt that like Hella Mega. It screams a highly in demand Arena/Amphitheater tour.

The only acts who I think are stadium level currently are:

    Taylor Swift
    Ed Sheeran
    The Weeknd
    Adele
    Beyoncé
    Bruce Springsteen (maybe?)
    Rihanna (maybe?)
    Paul McCartney
    The Rolling Stones
    Rammstein
    Coldplay
    Metallica
    Bad Bunny
    Harry Styles
    Billie Eilish
    BTS
    A few country artists

    (Am I missing anyone?)

Blink just isn’t in that tier popularity wise even with a Tom reunion IMHO.

  4. The pop disaster tour was at our hockey arena which is significantly smaller than our NBA arena. Maybe they’ll play that place again.

Guns N’ Roses haven’t proven they can’t fill stadiums yet, so I’d still put them in that category

Red Hot Chili Peppers played stadiums in their last tour. That's an example of a "reunion tour" and a strong support can boost tickets sales. With all the nostalgia around emo and pop punk lately I think that can make a Blink "reunion" sell well (although probs not stadiums)

Also, arent Foo Fighters, Green Day and Pearl Jam stadium bands in the US? They have played Wrigley Field in Chicago, but not sure the rest of the US

EDIT: Not sure if Billie Eilish would be a stadium artist, but Lady Gaga definetly is!

Oh I was only referring to Football Stadiums. I didn’t realize Banc of California Stadium was only 22k capacity and baseball stadiums was what @concertleaks was referring to.

I can see soccer or baseball stadiums in bigger markets and arenas elsewhere

Blink / Lil Wayne tour was Blink's third or fourth run of the U.S. with Matt. This is their first big tour with Tom in a decade with a very popular opener that actually makes sense. This will do a lot better than that.

There's an argument to be made that In This Moment is bigger. Whenever the two of them Tour ITM usually closes. Plus I'm pretty sure they're closing that Red Rocks Show they're doing combined with Trinity of Terror.

If there was another opener in between turnstile and blink, who would it be? Avril?

    Surprising stat:

avril and MGK have more monthly listeners than blink

    Avril: 16m
    MGK: 15m
    B182: 13m

Is it? They're way more relevant in the last couple of years than Blink.

Pearl Jam and Radiohead belong on that list as well. They just choose NOT to which makes it super hard/frustrating to try to get tickets to their arena dates in big markets. Also, don't forget about U2.

Radiohead last played an arena in Michigan in 2016 and it sold out. I think they're comparable to Red Hot Chili Peppers where they could do a stadium with a large scale opener.

Not sure about the rest of the country but Turnstile just sold out a 6k-capacity venue here in Brooklyn so they are plenty big. That being said, I'm not sure what the crossover is in their audience and if Turnstile fans would be incentivized to go see Blink 182.

Turnstile played a 2500 cap in Toronto on Tuesday, but they also played a 1350 cap venue here on the first leg of the TLC tour. Both sold out quickly.

I’ve heard it’s either Hella Mega 2 with Green Day and Blink Rotating then Paramore and turnstile as the Interrupters slot

other rumor is MCR and Blink; once again with Turnstile.

both qualify as stadium tours in my book.
