Yeah this seems in line with some of the other stuff Hellogoodbye has been up to this year.

The Scorpions are always fun, but I feel like they've been on this farewell tour for YEARS now. Even before the pandemic probably delayed everything.

 

The Farewell tour is for Whitesnake. Pretty sure Scorpions gave up on the Farewell tour

Not from So Cal, but I've followed KROQ since the 90s

I don't think it's happening because it would have been announced by now.. and the other newer alt station in LA ran a Almost Acoustic like show last December

 

That's wild since the station has been doing these for almost 30 years. Wonder what the issue is.

Yeah it would’ve been announced weeks ago if it were happening. They weirdly didn’t do an Almost Acoustic Christmas in December either

It seems that they’re struggling as a station now. Especially after they canned Kevin and Co., had that massive format switch, and a lot of their other personnel left (Ted Stryker going to New Alt was a gnarly move, imo).

I think if they even tried doing a Weenie Roast or AAC, it’d flop, and that’s probably why they’re not doing it…
