Totally. TSSF is def more pop punk/hardcore-leaning while JM is indie/emo-leaning

 

Perfect pairing of bands in the same realm that haven’t really toured together. Aside from Mom Jeans and TSSF, which was on another big package tour.

 

Can TSSF fill up the Shrine Outdoors? I know there's no other dates besides Boston but still that's like 8k cap for LA.

 

If Joyce can sell out the Hollywood Palladium on their own, yes.

 

TSSF and Joyce can both sell out the palladium easily. Both bands have a big following here.

Oh yeah, they’ll fill it up. JM sold out TWO back-to-back palladium shows in August and TSSF have sold it out on their own in the past. Plus, if this is the sole SoCal date of this lineup, a lot of people from all over the region (LA County/OC/IE/maybe San Diego?) will show up, so they should have no problem with attendance

Didn't Simple Plan just back out of the NFG tour due to COVID concerns? Touring Canada in the winter playing indoor venues seems...not consistent with that.

 

Perhaps I'm being overly optimistic but COVID cases are down 60% from the Delta peak and vaccination rates should get a boost here soon once 5-11 can get vaccinated. Not that you'll see 5-11 year-olds at shows, but a lot of the cases over the past few months have been school-aged kids.

Those are US numbers, so not sure about Canada.

Canada as a whole is nearly 75% vaccinated. I’m not sure of the specific US numbers but I’m assuming it wasn’t that high when they made that call back in summer.

 

lol yeah I don't know the US numbers either off the top of my head but can guarantee you it was nowhere near 75% and still isn't

 

67% have received at least 1 dose

 

that's actually a lot better than I thought! regardless we were around 50% this summer I think
