probably catch one of those Danforth dates, any chance to see Unknown Pleasures and Closer in full on the same night has to be taken

 

I'm wondering if the Foos will do a HOB type show in Cleveland this week for their RNRHOF induction.I go there often from Buffalo but I figure the tickets will be gone in no time once announced.

 

I didn't realize the ceremony was coming up so soon, and now this will be all I think about for the next 10 days.

 

Also, Dave was born in Warren, so wouldn't be surprised if they do something there. I know they played a record shop in Warren a few years ago.

 

Agora Ballroom or The Foundry would be absolutely wild. Also, hello fellow upstate western NY-er.

 

Had no idea Placebo was still around, let alone big enough to headline with Metallica and TOP.

 

They’re huge in Europe

 

Placebo, Kasabian, Biffy Clyro and Kaiser Chiefs should all team up for a theater tour in the US titled "WE WANT TO BE BIG HERE TOO!"

 

Don't forget Foals!

 

I feel like, at this point, Foals has eclipsed those bands popularity in the US/Canada. They at least can play a 3k-capacity place here in NYC. Biffy Clyro stalls out at like the 1100-capacity Irving Plaza and, while Placebo and Kasabian have done 3k-capacity in years past, doubt they could today.

 

Yeah, but compared to playing 2 sold out shows at the Alexandra Palace in London and headline Reading Festival, they could be doing lot more in the US

4 decent Coldplay seats for Tampa - $1300 after fees. The first dozen rows in the lower bowl were either Platinum or VIP.

 

Any idea what the GA tickets were priced at?

Same here, waiting for Chicago. A little scared of the prices

 

It's tough, I'm not from the UK so I'm obviously no expert but I think touring/breaking North America is extremely daunting for UK bands. In the UK, you can play a few key festivals and be exposed to a large amount of the public while in the US you have to slug it out from city to city. A lot of UK bands used to come over and play the 5-10 major markets and think that was enough. One of the reasons The 1975 is just as big in the US as in the UK is they did like 3-4 US tours playing in A, B and C markets even if it was in tiny clubs. Radiohead did a similar thing in the early-mid 90's which also explains why they have such a foothold here.

 

$320 for 2 GA tickets in Chicago. Not bad.

 

I got 300 level for $98 each (including fees). I was actually surprised to see that the 400 level was even cheaper than that.
