The festival they were traveling to after Firefly got postponed/canceled, so they just didn't need to play those other shows anymore. Which is a bad way to run your business from a fan satisfaction standpoint.

 

They are warm up shows for their firefly performance on the 24th.

 

I went to the Anberlin and The Early November show in Orlando tonight. TEN gets an hour which was cool but super surprising

 

See the above comments about bands with crew members who are unvaxxed.

Saw my first live music in almost 18 months yesterday at Slam Dunk festival. It made me very happy, kept my mask on pretty much all day and tried to keep a bit of distance with people but it was such a good day. Alkaline Trio were the stand out band and I had dismissed them live after last time I saw them being one of the most boring sets I have seen.

 

Is it just me or does it seem like these crew positive tests tend to come after bands perform in the south (a.k.a areas with low vaccination rates)?

 

I saw Hawthorne Heights, Senses Fail and Bayside on Friday, JT from HH said Florida was such a shit show and they all couldn't wait to leave.

 

LOL. Holy shit. HH is one of the last bands I would expect to say that at a show

Idk, they just strike me as being a “we love you Florida, you’ve always been so good to us all these years!” type of bands. Them openly talking shit about Florida is one of the funniest things to me idk why

 

That's very true! But I think with how the circumstances are right now and how it's being handled in Florida is probably what it was.

 

They were much more appreciative in Orlando, but then it was proof of Vax and masks required so maybe that was it.

 

I think that's exactly what it was.

 

Are there any large arena tours happening right now? We've seen lots of covid cases/issues with some of these smaller tours, but I'd be interested in seeing what it'll look like when some of these larger arena tours get going that have 80-100 crew/production members.

 

Denver, Tampa, Nashville, & Minneapolis dates added to the Evanescence/Halestorm tour

 

I knew Evanescence was big with “Wake Me Up” but was not expecting them to be playing arenas.

 

Harry Styles just started up

 

My guess is that the arena/stadium/shed tours have much stricter protocols than bands playing the 1k-capacity venues but I'd still expect to see breakthrough cases.

 

The Hella Mega Tour just finished and it was mostly in baseball stadiums. I think most of the dates were sold out.
