The last “show” I was at was a Roy Orbison/Buddy Holly hologram concert. My little brother and I were the youngest people there, for suuuuure. We won tickets.

But just a couple days before that, he and I saw The Early November. Weird contrast haha.

But yeah, both of those shows were in October 2019. This is the longest I’ve gone without seeing a show since I was like 15 years old aka over half my life ago. So strange...

 

Saw three shows in 2020: Thrice, Beach Bunny, and Ratboys. Dustin from Thrice was extremely sick during his show and they played a shorter set and that proved to be an omen for the year.

 

The Circa Survive date for Cleveland got moved to 2022

 

That Circa news actually has me super happy. It sucks it's still so far away, but now I have a date on the calendar for a show that will actually (almost) definitely happen. It feels great to actually be able to look forward to it.

 

So with vaccines starting to be administered, when do we all think the world and in turn the live music world will return to something that resembles "normal"? I'm thinking fall 2021.

 

My music friends in the indoor venue world say they’re being offered shows for August onward

 

As an "insider" in the music industry, I do believe Fall 2021 is a very fair guess. Honestly, shocked I am even thinking of anything before 2022 but the speed of the vaccine roll-out is phenomenal. Let's hope it is safe, etc.

Yeah, they've completely eradicated the virus there.

 

They have had sports events in stadiums with people and concerts for a few weeks now (or maybe even months). I think Australia is almost there too

I don’t know if this has been mentioned but apparently the guy from Atilla wants to revive Warped Tour in the next few years and that’s the worst news I’ve read about tours in quite a while.

 

He threw that idea around a few times, but apparently he had a meeting with Kevin Lyman and realized he does NOT have the cash to do it.
