Dude, Blood on the Dance Floor is still a thing. Apparently there's still a market for those types of bands.

They are doing a farewell tour and breaking up though. They somehow managed to get on the main stage at Warped.

Didn't one of the members of BOTDF creep on kids or something? People still support them after that?

I believe you're correct. Wasn't his name like Davey Suicide or some dumb shit like that?

Another one bites the dust I guess. Main Stage at Warped is a little crazy for that band. Even at their peak, they were a Poseidon sized band.

Even worse than that... "Dahvie Vanity"

Looks like it could be a pop punk tour. Maybe when they said "crucial" they meant Crucial Dudes? I would lose it

Next Show - Foals April 22nd

The Moose Blood/Trophy Eyes tour would be killer for me and better come close. The new TE record is one of my most played in the last month or two since it came out and MB hasn't been to Montreal at all yet.

    but does it djent?

Any tour TWA is on is good and I'm for all their releases. I'm very curious to see where they go as a band without Luke. Luke is a great drummer but he passed TWA in skill, he isn't just your standard metalcore drummer anymore and he's on the levels with Matt Gartska of Animals As Leaders now. I'm hoping his talent can be put somewhere where he shines out, maybe in a djent type band.

I'm sure he'll be a journeyman drummer like Freese or Rubin. He's one of the few scene drummers promoting his own brand. I'd be really surprised if he ties himself down to one band again.

he did his thing on REAL & Dark Matter, but as you said he isn't your standard metalcore drummer. exactly. If they got someone like hmmmm.. adam gray, that would be a good lineup. I don't look at new members as replacements, but he would definitely take them new places.

it's really funny to me how like the "rise records b-team" ended up becoming the biggest bands in the scene

    also Scarlett O'Hara lmao

I remember thinking that was a weird tour even when it happened in 2010. DDG and FFTL were well on their way out of relevancy by the time it happened. I mean DDG was already trying to conquer the nostalgia market then by playing a 4 year old album in full. That should tell you enough about how much they were clinging to relevancy at that point.

i interviewed jacob from the band maybe five months ago. i guess their booking agent kept asking them to do these "favor" tours over and over (and pushed to play in vogue all the way through tho being tired of it) when really they wanted to make a follow up record, and they got forced into doing a bunch of bullshit which pushed them further out of the spotlight of the scene or whatever. new record demos sounded close to The Used...

i dunno, i'll always stan for DDG, i think in vogue was a blueprint for a lot of the scene to this day. oh well, at least 888 is pretty sick and they're doing good

Chelsea Grin confirmed a spring headliner for the spring via Twitter with dates and bands to be announced. The band also said the supporting lineup will be full-on heavy instead of at least one "softer" band.
