I too find it weird, cause honestly at this point Weezer is gonna go over way better with a Green Day crowd. I do assume that there is sort of warm up opener. I can’t imagine Weezer cold opening the night.

I feel like Weezer and Fall Out Boy draw pretty similarly though. Both of them have sold out DTE, the big arena in Michigan, so I could also see them alternating opening support. Both Fall Out Boy and Weezer both acted as direct support for different legs of that Blink 182 2009 reunion tour they did too. I agree though, I feel like Fall Out Boy --> Weezer --> Green Day makes more sense.

Exactly...Weezer will be far more relevant to the Green Day crowd. Also have no idea how long these shows are. Weezer typically doesn't play long headlining sets so it won't be much of a transition for them, but doesn't Green Day normally play like 2 1/2 hour long sets?

    Then you add in FOB?

Think it'd be a lot of sense to be:

    FOB: 6-6:45
    Weezer 7:15 - 8:15
    Green Day: 8:45 - 11:15

Didn't fall out boy's last tour kind of bomb? I remember seeing super cheap tickets

    Let's find out.

Weezer more often plays 5000 cap venues than arenas, whereas FOB plays arenas than smaller venues, as well as FOB is big enough to headline festivals and Weezer is more of a second headliner at best, but ALSO both of the billboard and the flyers it’s been listed as Fall Out Boy being the second band. I’m almost 100% positive the order is Weezer, Fall Out Boy, Green Day.

LIke I said originally, no doubt Fall out Boy is the overall bigger band at this point in their careers, but we're talking about a Green Day crowd that will most definitely be an older crowd who grew up with Weezer - seeing as both those bands broke out into the mainstream around the same time. We've been with those bands for 25+ years. So my guess is for most Green Day fans, Weezer will be more relevant to them than Fall Out Boy is.

EDIT: Weezer also just headlined an amphitheater tour this past year (although I'm not sure how well it did)

I’ve felt like FOB and Weezer were equal popularity, with some overlap in fanbased

    Things have changed.

It was a co-bill with Pixies, and sales were generally soft but did OK with discounts and upgrades.

It would also be wise to stagger the older bands (Weezer and Green Day) to ensure people show up early and don't just think "Fall Out Boy suxxxx I'm getting there at 8."

The Cle show, which was originally scheduled for Nov 2, has barely any tickets sold. And I mean that quite literally.

I’m kind of surprised by that, but considering the bad things I’ve heard about Chance’s new album, maybe I shouldn’t be...
