Come on. None of us have any idea how this tour was negotiated behind the scenes. Travis is very good friends with Wayne, I’m sure any decisions that have been made were mutual agreements.

 

Worldwide Wayne has sold far more, but in the US it’s fairly close.

Interesting.

A quick google search says Wayne has sold over 100 million worldwide and Blink have sold over 50 million.

Did they end up not sticking to the whole 'one of the two shows' guideline?

I saw a lot of people on Twitter saying they were able to get tickets to both shows. I even saw people say they were able to get more than 2 (somehow?).

 

I went for TOP while my GF went for Killers. She wasn't responding to me so I tried to do Killers after but they were gone. But she did get them and I believe she used to separate email accounts and grabbed 4

Palaye Royale is opening the Rob Zombie/Marilyn Manson summer tour

 

Just saw this is happening but it's their only date. Tour incoming?

 

whatever happened to them? they seemed to get bigger and bigger and than nothing

 

Lineup changes + support slots + they've been relatively quiet for the last year since dude started doing his kinda boring Quiet Slang stuff. IIRC, their last Chicago show was originally supposed to be at Bottom Lounge, but got downgraded to Cobra Lounge because of poor ticket sales. Seeing them at The Empty Bottle would be pretty fun honestly.

 

Also don't think releasing two albums so close together that sounded exactly the same helped

 

I was at that Cobra Lounge show and yeah I overheard some staff there talking and it got moved due to poor ticket sales. I also saw them at Schubas last year during their Quiet Slang tour and it was fairly crowded. I think had their momentum kept going up they would be in a much different position right now.

They have a song that charted on the radio. Their last record had a decent debut, and Alt Press talks about them constantly. They're basically the Canadian version of Waterparks in a way.

 

The way Alt Press/ rock sound etc posted about them constantly when no one even cared was the most annoying thing ever

Motion City Soundtrack tour coming or nah?

They have an announcement coming on New Years Eve. Not giving my hopes up, but I wouldn’t mind a reunion.

 

Someone said it’s just one show, but I really hope that’s not the case
