It has been 16 months since the announcement of the final "world tour."

Absolutely no surprise they did a second US leg, as they started with a US leg and obviously they can't really end it anywhere else. A little surprised by the 3rd, but judging by such a stacked lineup, having already covering most places in the first 2, and supposedly starting at Madison Square Garden and ending at the Forum, I predict a relatively limited leg of big shows.

 

I was exaggerating, but they played here once last summer claiming it was "the final Slayer show in Dallas" and they've already been back. I know they had high demand for this tour and have added more legs/dates, but I just don't see this being the end for them. Only time will tell.

 

I give them 5 years tops

 

I could see this last leg being the last leg of them touring, and then in like a year of inactivity go back to doing festival shows and one offs. Or they may just have a final tour that goes on and on until one of them dies.

 

if a loss for words can be on a farewell tour for 8 years, i think slayer should be allowed to also

Agreed. Money talks, until people stop forking out their dollars to see them, there's really no reason for them to stop touring. If you don't want to see the fifth farewell tour, you shouldn't have bought tickets to the fourth.

Damn Feist would be nice, still happy we’re getting Sharon though.
