Is it fair to say Elliot is one of the best drummers in this scene? An absolute monster behind that kit, one of my favorite parts of seeing them live is watching him play

 

Very fair and “DNA” is the prime example for me.

I would say that the Cloud Nothings guy is tops though. I am still in absolute awe every time I hear the “Psychic Trauma” breakdown.

 

Elliot is a beast.

 

I feel like live he adds more to the Parting the Sea songs, or there's something about the album that makes me not notice them as much? But Is Survived By onwards is such a step up in that department, agreed. The way he switches time signatures on the fly is also super cool to me he's just. Incredible




I don't listen to Cloud Nothings :(

 

Also while Stage 4 is super dope, Is Survived By is my clear favorite and I think it'll be remembered as their first masterpiece. It's not necessarily better but definitely my favorite.
