Titus Andronicus Announce The Monitor Reissue and Full Album Tour

with this interesting tidbit:

"The record was remastered for vinyl with the originally intended vinyl transitions from song to song restored. "

They also added a Saturday show today a few hours after the initial announcement.

 

I was wondering when I saw that open date. Saturday is infinitely better for me, so great news!!

Went to the Monitor tour last night and it was just great. They were so tight and had probably the best mix of any band I've ever seen at SubT.

 

Legit one of the best shows I’ve ever been to. Cried a few times, this album means so god damn much to me. Don’t miss this tour.

 

This album rules and will always rule, but I think I'm stuck on the original version. The mastered one probably sounds great, but it's not the version I've come to know and love.

 

I haven't listened to the remaster yet, I forgot that they remastered it with original transitions restored. I think I'll give it a listen soon!

It is a cover of an OI band called Cock Sparrer apparently.

 

Direct Hit! also put out a cover of it a few years back, but from what I can tell, all evidence of that has vanished from the internet. More than okay with more of my favorite bands putting out their own versions of this perfect song as well.

is this their best song since TMLT? can't remember feeling this compelled to replay something from them in that long (I think I liked that last LP enough tho, but i didn't ever really go back to it)

 

i think yes easily, but i agree that the last one might be worth revisiting for me too
