Anyone see this teaser? I'm totally confused by the tone of the show now.

Man, I was hoping Robin would say "fuck Batman" to the question "i'd really like to meet Batman."

 

If he really hated him he'd be all like "Bruce Wayne is just a wrinkly old fuck with a bat fetish."

 

The fact that Beast Boy is only green when he's using his powers is so, so lame.

Uh. Why are Starfire and Raven's characters like swapped?

That is really not great.

 

What shocks me is the sheer amount of great source material they have to rely on to influence their dialogue and characters and how DC always seems to just make a mockery of it all.

 

What's even more shocking to me is that they already had a widely successful and acclaimed Teen Titans show. I would much rather just have a live action adaptation of that (or better yet, just continue that show) instead of whatever this mess is. I mean, give Teen Titans Go as much shit as you want, at least that knows how stupid it is and frequently pokes fun at itself (it's also nowhere near as bad as some people make it out to be). This just looks like a complete mess in nearly every regard

 

This will be available on Netflix for anyone outside the US.

 

This looks good. (And I have no idea why anyone would want a remake of a show that's already on.)

 

I think this looks better than the initial footage we saw. I tried out the app for the week trial when it released and the UI/UX is ehhh. But I'm sure I'll subscribe soon to watch this and some of the back catalog that's on there. I want to make my way through Batman: The Brave and the Bold still haha.

 

That trailer looks a lot closer to what I envision when I think about Teen Titans tonally. Still not huge on the character design for all of the Titans besides Robin though and most of the dialogue so far is still not great. I'll still watch it and see, I guess.

 

That trailer looks a ton better than anything else we saw (the shot of Robin extending his staff was awesome!). I feel if that other trailer wasn't released at all, it'd have done a lot better to get people excited.

I'm confused about it being on netflix though, isn't this show suppose to sell the DC streaming service? You'd think that it would take away from it.

 

Batman: The Brave and the Bold is SO GOOD haha.

 

Pretty sure it's only on Netflix outside of the US since the DC streaming service is US only

 

Looks good. Still not completely sold on the character designs either, but it looks like the chemistry between the characters is gonna be there, which is cool.

 

I've never read any classic Titans stuff, but this feels similar to the Earth One book with that Raven story.

I think I got about 8 episodes in? I'm not totally sure haha. But what I saw was definitely fun.

 

Renewed for Season 2 already.

 

I'm definitely going into this with an open mind. I'm willing to see a new take and see how they develop the characters. could end up being a rewarding arc. i like that it's set to play more like a 13 part movie instead of typical tv.

 

also, what's everyone's thoughts on the fact that Titans just gets added to Netflix internationally while in the US we pay for an extra service. i mean i get that we're getting a lot more than just Titans, but i feel like it's not right if they end up just releasing the original series' internationally for no extra charge.

 

Dumb af.
Especially since a lot of people are only getting the service for Titans.
