I have a close friend who is chronically late and we have completely missed some important events because of it over the years. It’s the WORST.

 

Basically this situation
It pisses me off so much and honestly after so many years of being the nice friend who shrugs it off I’m so fucking over it

 

My family is chronically late and it's embarrassing

 

when people are chronically late, it just reeks of being inconsiderate and rude

once or twice every once in a while is no biggie imo but if it becomes a case where it happens every time, you're just kind of an asshole

 

That’s where I’m at. I know it’s a problem with her in her life on every level (it has cost her every job she’s ever had) so I’ve tried to be empathetic and not take it personally

but I can’t help but see it as beyond inconsiderate of others’ time

the situation today is that she was supposed to come over and go swimming. At about 1 she said she would be here at around 3. At 3:45 she said she ‘overheated’ and was resting before heading over. I said ok.
4:45 I say hey how you feeling? She said “I’m getting my stuff together and will be over soonish”

THEN our 3rd friend (who was also invited) messaged me and said that she had messaged HER and told her she wouldn’t be at my house until “probably like 8” because she was going to the store first. Notice that she did not tell me this.

and now I’m like rly pissed off lol bc I think that’s beyond rude

 

It bugs me most with shows. No, I don’t want to show up late just because we don’t know the opener. I discovered some of my favorite artists through their opening sets.

 

It's so rude to not show up for the opener

 

I’m totally cool with it if I don’t like the opener though haha but I do prefer to see the whole show

 

When people tell me the actual time something starts instead of a fake time 15 minutes earlier

You would all hate me, but my friend is so much worse. She'll show up late to the show and then leave early.

 

back to pee talk: if I could get rid of one bodily function, it would undoubtedly be urinating. if I could just sweat everything out, I think I would much rather deal with that. idk - I may be completely wrong here. sweating that much over the course of a day might leave you pretty stinky and you'd probably have to shower a lot

the point being, I'm high rn and peeing is annoying

 

I think I'd give up sweating in favor of more urination.

I cant stand when people reverse ceiling fans in the winter to "circulate the heat". No, I'm just somehow freezing and sweating at the same time

Being hungry and tired

 

Im always late but in my mind I always try to make my “leave by” time a half hour before I actually have to leave.

i have no issues with work or appointments. I’m okay with those but as soon as it’s something without much commitment my brain while getting ready is like “????????” like imagine a bingo wheel that keeps spinning and never releases a bingo number

 

how they just decided that computers don't need cd/dvd drives and now physical media is obsolete and it's sad

 

I didnt even realize when I bought my laptop it didnt have a CD drive. Only realized when I tried to burn a cd.

going to the grocery store stoned. this is 1) going to take a while 2) be expensive 3) be mostly junk food

 

Really specific scientific community issue:

if someone names something a dumb or confusing name YOU DONT HAVE TO KEEP CALLING IT THAT Just credit the person! Stop propagating confusing nomenclature that hinders the general public’s interest because the name is dumb as fuck/straight up makes no common sense except to the person who discovered it!!!!!!!
