Covid ruining weekend plans that I was really looking forward to

 

I know nothing about pro sports. I just found out White Sox and Red Sox are two different teams. I thought there was just one Sox team and I kept getting the color wrong.

 

Kind of on the opposite end of this, I spelled “socks” wrong until like middle school because the only time I saw the word in writing was from seeing the White Sox/Red Sox names so I just assumed there was only one way to spell it lol

 

I have a theory based on no research or investigation

But there are several other ppl who live on my floor. It's a walkup outside. We all have front door mats. Everyone else's doormats always look clean and lovely. Mine always has debris and what looks like animal fur around it despite me not having any animals in my apartment. I am now convinced that my neighbors are sweeping their doormats and the surrounding area and then just sweeping it onto mine because hoooooow

Still on my #justiceforcinnamonflavor crusade. You're telling me there are 6000 different variations of mint flavor but we can't throw in one cinnamon flavor of mouthwash??

Also, holy shit, $11 for mouthwash!?

 

Lol yeah I didn't get any of those ones. but rest assured no other brands had any other flavor besides different mint ones either!!

I don't usually go to Safeway/vons for things like mouthwash and floss but I had just sat in a 25 minute line for Dutch Bros and didn't have the bandwidth to go to a farther and probably more crowded cheaper store. But I clipped my lil online coupons and had a coupon for 10% off after getting my covid booster and flu vaccine there recently so I actually didn't pay too much!

 

Also shout-out to the lady at Joanne fabrics who told me to search for coupons on my phone before I paid and saved me like $5!

 

That was my go-to mouthwash for a bit, but I had to stop because of how expensive it became

 

I just go with ACT typically. My dentist recommended it, there's no alcohol in it, and it's pretty cheap

 

Yeah I started using that too for the same reason. It’s been treating me pretty well!

 

Walmart? On the Walmart website looks like the sell it near me in store

 

When customer service lines give their AI a human name. Like, I’m trying to reschedule a doctor’s appointment, why the fuck is a bot introducing itself as Alex?

 

Ohh it looks like it may be at one of the wal marts not too far from me. I have weird wal marts by me where they're like mini and don't have a big selection of items, but it looks like the bigger one a little further away has one. Will def check it out next time I'm near that one

 

Someone needs to tell my mom that she has the ability to scroll through past text messages or use the search function to find things. She is forever asking me to repeat things we've already text about, often just recently. She's not old. She has had a cell phone for yeeeears. Get it together, woman

 

October in SoCal

As much as I love fall, October is an annoying month.

Super cold in the morning, hot in the afternoon, then cold again in the evening.

And it’s gonna be triple digit weather this week. Ugh

 

There are two toasters in the break room at my office and neither of them work

 

Stop lights that aren’t activated by traffic.

There is a brand new 4-way stop light by my apartment that is the fucking worst. It sits on red for like 45-60 seconds even when no one is going through it and it changes to red for no reason at all. There will be absolutely no one that wants to go through the intersection but will change to red, sit there for 60 seconds as red, literally no one will go through the intersection, and then turn green for the Main Street again. Why does it go to red????? It’s brand new so unless it’s using old shit technology or no technology at all (very possible) I thought all new lights were set up with sensors or based on weight to tell when to change. I’m super close to going “bored angry old man” about it and trying to figure out an email to send to ask about this bullshit lol

Alexa is almost always wrong about the weather. Like it's raining right now and it just told me that is sunny with clear skies.

 

This is my second annoyance regarding non-dairy ice cream:

Saw a pint of it at Whole Foods for $9. Like a Ben & Jerry’s-size container for $9!

Why do I have to pay so much more in order to keep my stomach from exploding
