i was gonna get mad but instead welcome to club!

 

I know someone that has that. I’m social media’s friends with them. I think it’s actually the spouses “service dog”. But if it were an actual service dog, they’re being the dog to their place of work. Not slap on the vest when they bring it places that don’t allow pets

also the majority of “service dogs” I’ve seen in stores are people’s pets. As pets aren’t allowed it certain stores, yet most of these don’t have vests and are sitting in peoples carts or being carried

 

Depending on what I’m doing and going, driving gives me anxiety. I was on my way to my appt today and unintentional stopped in a “cross section”, but didn’t see any “keep clear” markings on the road, and I don’t recall if they were there before in that area since they’re re paving the roads. Some prick trying to turn left (driving a large white suv with all dark tinted windows and windsheld) got upset and honked at me to move. Idk if he was trying to tell me I need to go around (I couldn’t because I needed to be in that lane I was in and cars were at a stop). Then he proceeded to just go nearly touching his car to mine. Like wtf dude, calm down. It’s people that behave like this on top of driving cars with blacked out windows and windshield that frighten me.

 

I feel like every day I narrowly avoid an accident like 3 separate times. And some of those I'm at fault but not all!! I hate driving.

 

In this case the guy was just being a prick! Couldn’t wait 2 min. Trying to forcibly make me move. Like I didn’t intent to stop there, it just happened.

but usually that happens to me and if I honk because someone nearly hits me, they get mad! Like I ain’t the one that did something wrong

 

My fave is when people dramatically speed past me just to be stopped at the same red light.

Omg people who ask dumb questions in recipe comment sections. It's someone explaining how to make a pumpkin iced chai tea. Someone asks what if you don't like pumpkin. ????? Then why are you here?!?! Or it'll be a recipe where it's like "top with fruit. I used strawberries" and someone is like "I don't like strawberries. Can I use bananas??" Obviously!! Do what you want!! Omg.

I’ve thought it was Friday 3 days in a row now lol

 

The a accounting person at my job knew nothing about the California meal break violation law where you get an additional hour of pay and regular rate of pay. It wasn’t in my paycheck and I ask about, even went to them when the violation occurred (we were swamped with patients and it’s the first time it’s been that bad). Said they knew nothing about it and will have to look into it. I offered to look it up, but they declined. Either no one speaks up about wage theft, or employees don’t like employment laws, or meal break violations haven’t occurred because they do try to avoid it. I REALLY hope they come across the rest break violation as well (which is something I recently found out about).

 

At work we all take turns in control of the music and it annoys me when someone plays a song with a cuss in it and they immediately skip the song after the cuss happens, especially if it’s the only time it happens in the song. It already happened, let the song play!

 

Plus you probably already hear it from people just talking in general

 

I’ve worked plenty of retail jobs and we had managers who wouldn’t even play certain RADIO stations because they didn’t want to risk customers hearing the swearing they allowed on that. Like, I understand everyone has their own tolerance level for that stuff, but at what point are you bending over backwards to avoid offending like 1% of the general public?

 

Update. I got paid, but they tried to not pay me

 

People who call in at work, don’t say who they are, and proceed to get annoyed when I ask their name and student ID. If you just state it at the beginning I won’t have to ask!

 

I had the opposite problem lol. Worked retail with a manager that did not give a fuck and would play super graphic and sexual shit from her Spotify and I was the person that had to deal with complaints while she hid in her office. Was very uncomfortable! There's gotta be some middle ground.

 

Wow that sounds hilarious/horrible at the same time lol yes, ultimately the middle ground is best. Sounds like the places I worked were just too corporate for that to be a possibility

 

Upon more research, my work is giving us unlawful breaks (meaning we all should get getting premium pay at least 2x a week) And making an excuse how because it’s healthcare, you automatically consent to “waive” it (don’t remember how my manager phrased, it. We get breaks but it’s at the start of the 6hr, which the law says no, but they said it’s lawful??.) I hope I phrased that correctly

 

Working in restaurants and the back of the house was fair game for any music lol. No censorship there.

 

Sounds like they’re being shady as hell and know they’re breaking the law. I don’t love and California and know how intense those laws are. I would see if there’s some hotline you can call to report them.
