What spin songs did they play instead? I assume June and Guardian for sure but escape plan seemed like the most popular non single song from that record so kinda weird

Swap Make It Up with Escape Plan and that's pretty solid

 

yeah i think make it up was one of the first two songs they played. it was suprising but i really like it so w/e. crowd was super not into any of the new stuff which was kinda a bummer.

 

I really wish I could see them this Saturday when they're in Detroit, but I doubt I'll be able to make it happen. As long as they are indeed the support on the Manchester Orchestra tour I will be appeased.

 

Yea if they support Manchester I may end up seeing them 3 times on that tour ha

 

Loved getting Escape Plan at my show. All the new songs sounded pretty damn good

Real solid review. i agree with almost everything here... I think you did a nice job to combat the "every song is the same complaint". There are different sounds happening here, they just need to bring that out more with different rhyming feels on the next record. i do love that the album is literally full of mid tempo bangers and is great for driving with the windows down at full blast.

Briana with her keys as opposed to just her vox like past acoustic performances is next level

 

That was really phenomenal. Wow! I almost wish the band would just strip down to just guitar keyboard and vocals haha or give us a more stripped down version of spin! Ha

 

I really liked hearing an acoustic performance with the keys. definitely added to the songs. June is going to be stuck in my head all day now.

 

Damn, Guardian was okay but June and Window were fantastic. Love when these guys strip everything back, their voices work so well together.

 

Wow their Tiny Desk performance is so, so good. Guardian really shines as an acoustic track. Wish they would have played Escape Plan though. That song is incredible.

 

I like the piano tone Brianna used instead of the organ tone

 

she loves that organ.

 

they were really good last night, the extended "Window" jam was so fun.

it's interesting to me how hard people go for this band...I guess it makes sense in Philly but I never envisioned them as much of a mosh pit act

 

Think a lot of it is a time and place thing for a lot of people in regards to how hard they go

 

The crowd in Atlanta went nuts for any Pizza jams, pretty much.

 

yup. in slc they opened up the pit for all pizza songs. it was weird. but i agree the extended window jam was dopppeeee

 

When I've seen them live before, it seemed people went mad for the self titled songs, and had big sing-alongs to the Charmer era material, but the Two Worlds stuff really fell flat. I wonder if they are gonna phase that era's material out now, you'd have to imagine they would.
