I don’t personally like Wicca Phase but to no he was great in TJ

 

I have never liked Charmer sadly, but I love the pizza album, Two Worlds, and Spin.

 

There are some pretty heinous singers in this genre. Adam doesn’t have a good voice but he’s not the worst lol

 

Adam was better than Ben at the time

 

Ben is way better imo

 

Now, sure. But not on the first couple albums

 

Hot take I love all their albums and they’re all 10/10 in my eyes. Spin is their best front to back. IWCHYRM was a great follow up and the songs they’ve released since are all great. Live they’re incredible too and the energy is unmatched. TLDR love this band and hope they keep doing what they’re doing.

 

Yeah I get not liking Adam honestly, that was a steep adjustment coming around to the songs he leads. Fantastic songwriter no doubt but I won't knock anyone for not liking his voice. I have a lot of nostalgia for pizza album, but I'm usually reaching for the two newer ones these days.

I prefer Pizza and Charmer over the later stuff, wouldn’t be mad if Brianna was singing more on those albums though

 

I like all phases of the band and I really don't know the specific singers but I miss the raw emotionality of them, just a sucker for that desperation guttural singing, and that's what I feel like separated them as a band. Last few albums I can pick 2-3 songs that stand out and the rest are kind of just there.

 

The discussion made me want to revisit Spin. Forgot how good the album is but Charmer might edge it out still for me

 

Escape Plan might be one of my fav TJ songs

 

spin is such a special and perfect record to me. one of 20 albums i consider 5/5
