  1. I think it's my favorite.

  2. The show was incredible last night. So, so happy I finally saw them. Got a lil teary-eyed during War All the Time and when Geoff talked about about being 80 days sober and I'm not ashamed of it at all.

    No Tim or Andrew though.

Damn, I guess that petition was real then lol. Wonder why no Andrew? It seems like he's been everywhere so far.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

That's a bummer about no Tim or Andrew. I'm guessing the Michigan show will be the same then

  5. Yeah it sucks but oh well it is what it is. Tom played the keyboard part for Falling Bomb and some of the others like No Answers were pre-recorded

Maybe he's not allowed in Chicago? Hence the petition...

  7. Did he play Riot Fest last year?

Geoff talking about sobriety really hit me hard too. It was a truly incredible night and I'm so happy to have been there to experience it

  11. On a side note thought, I might have to retire from the pit at these types of shows after last night. I've seriously felt like I'm badly hungover all morning even though I don't drink at all haha. Oh well, totally worth it.

what do you mean you "moved on" from Full Collapse? Like you listened a couple times and then 'moved on' to listen to War All The Time?

Yeah that sucks about no Andrew. I've been watching a few videos and couldn't spot him so guessed he hadn't been on the tour recently. Tim wasn't on the final few years of Thursday touring so that's no surprise, but a shame to be two members down as their line up was always admirably stable. Hopefully both will be back for any future shows or tours!

I believe the person is listening to their discography for the first time chronologically and just got to WATT.

I had a great time! I was happy with the setlist, and I thought they sounded spot on. I wish Tim and Andrew were there, but otherwise no complaints.

Just watching a bunch of videos I took the last time they were in London in 2011. We got all of Full Collapse that night plus 5 tracks from No Dev.

"Thank you, we're Thursday, see you real soon". Well, I'm ready guys... ;-p

EDIT: and me and Geoff from that tour. D'awwww.

Amazing show in Cinci tonight. I can't believe I just saw Thursday.

That being said, long rant coming tomorrow about violence at shows, fan entitlement, and Thursday's lyrics.

So I brought my 13 almost 14-year-old brother to the show. It was his first real show and he had a blast. We got there early and had spots right on the barrier and he was so excited. The sets were awesome and event free until right before Thursday came on.

This lady pushed her way through to a spot beside me on the barrier instead of just asking me to just scoot over a bit so that there was room for her. I would have been happy to move or scrunch down a bit but she just shoved her way through. Annoying but not horrible. I understand being excited and wanting to be close for Thursday's set.

But then she went on a long rant with another guy (who will come up later) about how long they've been waiting to see Thursday and "these fucking 14-year-olds have their ear plugs and are right on the barrier" right next to me and acted like I couldn't hear every word she said? Also implying that protecting my hearing makes me less of a fan or makes me enjoy the music less? I told her that I know I we are younger but I paid for a ticket and was excited af to see Thursday too. She said "No but it's different I grew up with this stuff." Alright, whatever. I get it I guess. Again annoying but not that bad.

Thursday's set was amazing and my group was just having a blast and it was so great to be so close. Then in the middle of their set, the dude who earlier was talking with the girl about us being younger whispered to me and said "Dude can you move over I want to be on the barrier, I've waited 16 years to see Thursday. Don't be a dick". I said, "Sorry man, it's Thursday, I'm not moving. There are spots over towards the edge." He replies, "Dude you are being a dick I've waited for so long." I said, "Dude sorry but I'm not moving." He says, "You are a dick. Don't be surprised if I 'accidentally' elbow you in the ribs."

At this point, I just stopped replying because I couldn't believe someone would be that petty and threaten violence to get just a few feet closer. I started just to ignore him and tried to enjoy the show but the rest of the set was tarnished for me. I brought my brother to his first show and now I have to worry about mine and more importantly his fucking safety? I was pissed. I probably should have just let him have my spot just to make sure my little brother was safe but I was too pissed and wasn't about to give up and let this asshole get his way.

So the set goes on and multiple times while I'm enjoying the show and jumping and having a good time I'm getting elbowed in the ribs. One time during Jet Black I was jumping a lot and caught a pretty painful blow on my way down from a jump. But I didn't move an inch. I wanted to show this guy he couldn't just use violence to get what he wanted. I just kept having to check on my brother and my friend to make sure he wasn't doing the same shit to them.

Come to find out after the show he threatened my friend also and had the audacity to try to sweet talk my brother out of his spot. He asked him how old he was and talked about how he had been a fan since my brother's age and how he really needed to be closer and shit. Unbelievable.

Eventually, they had those balloon things out and I jumped pretty high to hit one and the dude just pulls me back while I was in the air and jumped in my spot. Security was pretty on it throughout the night but they were busy with crowd surfers and missed it I guess. I was pissed.

There were only 3 songs after that though so I made it most of the show at the barrier. Then his buddy manhandles my little brother and tries to pull him out of his spot and I had to shove him the hell off and security came over and shoved him off too. I told him not to ever fucking touch my brother again. The set ended and I was worried that we were going to have words so I had to keep my brother away until I saw them leave. Ridiculous. Nothing like this should be happening at any show. Is it the worst thing ever? Probably not and I'm sure other people have worst stories but I'm pissed. I'm trying to get my brother into music and brought him to a kickass show only to have some prick manhandle him and threaten me and my friend? What the fuck?

What blows my mind is how entitled and ignorant that guy was. I paid for my ticket, it doesn't matter how long you have been a fan, it doesn't matter if I fucking hate Thursday (even though I was clearly enjoying their set), you don't get to use fucking violence to get 2 feet closer.

If this guy is such a hardcore fan of Thursday then surely he knows about all of Geoff's outspoken anti-war and anti-violence lyrics, right? Surely he knows? Maybe he missed that in all 16 years he's been such a massive fan of this band. I can't believe that someone who has been a fan as long as he claims resorts to petty violence so readily.

Sorry, I'm done. The show really was great and I made it through most of it being able to completely enjoy it but the last 25 minutes were pretty tense for me and I was worried for my brother. I just didn't want him to come away thinking that all shows were like that or that he has to be afraid or keep an eye out for his safety at a show.

Thankfully he really enjoyed it and we still had a great time.

My little brother is walking around the house in his new Thursday hat humming "Understanding in a Car Crash" and chanting the lyrics to "Flowers and You". So mission accomplished.

That is ridic omg. Like you get some sort of front row pass for being a fan for a longer amount of time? If you've been a fan for soooo long idk get there earlier to get to the front? And if you couldn't get there earlier, if you've been a fan for so long and have gone to so many shows, there should be an understanding that you just didn't make it there in time and it's still 1000% possible to enjoy the show from another spot. And it should be awesome that they're gaining new and younger fans, not a snobbery fest. I think it's super cute when I got to a show for an artist that's been around for a bit and there are young fans excited for their first show.

I kinda experienced that at my show too tho. There were a few petite women/girls (idk how old) that were in the front but some dude was shoving and thrashing so hard against their bodies that they eventually just let him have the spot (it wasn't even a mosh pit or anything. Just one random dude going HAM). They were super nice about it too and I was like heccccck no. But I can understand not wanting to create a hassle. Security at our show was too busy trying to hold up the annoying barrier in between the two sections of the venue instead of being able to help out elsewhere. Luckily there was a cool dude next to me acting as our group's security lol. When we got separated I was like noooo cool stranger, come back!

The main thing keeping from just telling this guy off was my brother. He's pretty good sized but I didn't want to get in any kind of a thing with him around. I had to keep his safety a priority.
