Robbed All the Time

 

Show was so good. Best venue in Buffalo too.

 

Gonna be a little disappointed if we get nothing from ACBTLD

 

I was shocked we got Velocity on the last one. Feel like the least these bands can do is 1-2 deep cut shows every once in a while. Would an ACBTLD show at Starland not still sell out like every other Thursday show there? Promise to play Understanding 3 times afterwards if you have to.

 

They killed it tonight. more videos on my channel as usual.

 

The production on ACBTLD is AWFUL. That is a huge reason I couldn’t get into as much. Definitely a great record but man, that production. Only other album that I can think of that the production almost ruins it for me is letlive’s the blackest beautiful

 

This band just needs a new album BAD

 

Couldn’t disagree more. I think it’s their best album, both musically and sonically

 

Not to belabor the point, but I’ve seen them so many times just do old material since their return in 2016. As a person who at one time would have considered them my favorite band, I just feel tired of these anniversary tours. I also believe they are a band fully capable of putting out a late career masterpiece. It feels sad to me that they have been relying so heavily on nostalgia runs

 

Same. I totally respect them taking their time, not wanting to put out something that feels forced, doing what makes them happy, and all that good stuff. But, everyone still appears to be at the top of their game, and I would love to hear something new.

 

If you’d told me 10 years ago that they would be touring this much at a time of renewed strife in the political and world landscape, and that Geoff had written a book after getting clean, yet hadn’t written music, I would not have believed you even a little bit.

 

I get it. I want new music too. But they know what they’re doing. We are in the vast minority who wants new Thursday music. For the majority of Thursday fans, they would never give new music a chance, similar to dozens and dozens of other bands who came up in the scene in the late 90s/early 2000s.

It sucks, but it is what it is. They would probably spend way more money writing, recording, promoting, than would ever come back in return.

 

I’m wondering if the success and praise of the new TBS record will influence others (like Thursday and YC).

 

Geoff's lyrics on the 2022 No Devotion album were great not to mention one of his best vocal performances of his career. So at least there's that. Also Tucker and Tim writing bangers with L.S. Dunes.

But nothing hits like Thursday.

 

If the multiple universe theory is real i wonder if there’s one where Thursday play a few shows a year with a sick new album out and Alexisonfire do alternating tours playing Watch Out and Crisis every year

I dont even care about new music, I just want a show that's not a FC or WATT playthrough

 

This was my first time seeing them (I know, I know). I loved getting to hear all of WATT. I get where people are coming from, I do. But this was a win for me. Maybe just me. But I take the win when I can.

It would go the same way as the last ATDI album. It would have its fans, but the vast majority would take every opportunity to shit on it, expecting a time capsule to make them feel young again.

 

The set at Furnace Fest 2021 was a mix and was wonderful.

 

sounds great, way too bright on that stage. give me some atmosphere

 

yea it’s a bare bones tour. No backdrop even.

 

I’m certainly not against stage decoration or special light rigs and such, but honestly just let me be able to see and hear the band and I’m good.
