Earth is the only one I haven't gotten into that much. It's good, but it's just never what I'm looking for when I listen to Thrice.

Also, I think The Lion & The Wolf is probably the weakest song in the entire Alchemy Index release.

I'll always be bummed that "Firebreather" wasn't on Anthology. I loved on the M/M tour how they used guitar noise in place of the synth (though I also love the EP version). Sounded so, um, incendiary.

At least it was one the first live album.

its totally the weakest track haha

Child of Dust and Digging My Own Grave are amazing tracks

  7. Perhaps. I'm always shocked when I learn Thrice songs on guitar to discover how very simple their cores are. I just think Thrice are really great at masking simplicity with complex layers and a mastery of effective song structures.

Yeah, but they did the synth on that one. Which, was cool in its own way because I remember Teppei live using his guitar head to play that part. But, I'd love to have a good version where they do the guitar noise.

Digging My Own Grace and Come All You Weary are my favorites from Earth. Child Of Dust is really good too though, but it just hasn't hit me like it has for you.

Flags of Dawn is secretly the best Thrice song.

Lion and the wolf is good for what it is. The simple piano playing fits the story extremely well.

    New interview:

Thrice's Dustin Kensrue on Comeback Album, Twitter Trolls & 'Stage Three' for the Band

    Some snippets:

"So you're already thinking ahead to another album? You're back in band mode beyond this summer?
Yeah, totally. I don't know the timeline or anything, but that's where my head goes right when I'm done with another record. I don't usually capitalize on it enough. You get swamped in other stuff. But there's a good creative energy after you finish something. You have the clarity to be like, "Oh man, that was cool but I wish we did more of this [or] that."

The song in the background on their TBEITBN In-Studio video has me so freakin' pumped.

Totally thought I wasn't into M/M anymore until I revisited it recently. That album holds up way better than I remember. Beggars and Vheissu are still my favorites, but M/M has some fantastic stuff on it.

Dustin looks like a fisherman in these videos. Something about the 'stash, hat, and sunglasses.

    He's gone full Joaquin Phoenix.

Also - Words in the Water is probably in my top 3 Thrice songs. M/M was a little forgettable overall, but had very high highs.

It's been years since I listened to Thrice and I would like to get into them again. I really like The Alchemy Index and Beggars. What should I listen to next?

I listened to it twice and didn't feel like it was as good as everyone says. I will give it a few more chances anyway. What about M/m? I've read polarizing opinions about that one.

Shame you feel that way about Vheissu. I'd revisit it if it has been awhile. If you like Beggars, you'll probably enjoy M/m. To me they're very similar.

I also don't think Vheissu is as good as a lot of people make it out to be, but it is a good album worth check out.

Love M/M. Some of my favorite Thrice songs like "Call It In The Air," "Anthology," and "Disarmed."
