Because yes, they absolutely did. And, as the article notes, they have made no secret of their love for Brand New and Daisy. So it isn't as if they can claim they had never heard the song before.

Gave it a listen, there is definitely a similarity in the verses for sure. I think it's cool they like Thrice and Brandnew.

That article had some laugh out loud moments like:

but it being so biased is a turn off and makes it hard to take anything I'll ever read from that site seriously again.

 

Seether have never been egregiously bad imo. Certain songs maybe, but they've always had a handful of good tunes on each release. They've always been a fan of heavier/weirder bands as well

This band is one of the best to come out of the scene.

I am so stoked they are back.

 

Got my hands on the Sea Change 7". Super happy with that result.

 

Less Art, Riley and Ed's upcoming side project, released "Pessimism as Denial" from their upcoming debut Strangled Light today.

The album is said to be coming July 28.

reminds me of thrice fire stuff, not just saying this bc members are involved, the vocal phrasing in the first verse too

 

I guess I missed that "Sea Change" was released. I dig it. Can understand why it wasn't on the record, but it's good.

 

I'll eat crow and say that this band is actually really really good and its just taken me a long time to come around to that fact 10/10 favorite Nickelback ripoff

 

Might even listen again one of these days.
