I remember being a junior in high school and everyone was playing riffs in band of the stuff on artist in the ambulance so I asked for it for Christmas and the rest is history. I loved the pictures that came with it.

Legit can't remember how, was either through similar bands or possibly their cover of Helter Skelter on YouTube haha, but not as far back as most of you. Probably why Major/Minor is my second favourite and Anthology my favourite Thrice song, as from what I've read older fans of the band seem to have been more disappointed by it as an album.

Saw Thrice for the first time with Face to Face in 2002. I had heard Identity Crisis from a friend and a few tracks off of TIOS before I went to the show. I was blown away and Thrice has remained my all time favorite, can do no wrong, band. Short and sweet.....

i’ve been meaning to tell you

Saw Vhiessu in the bargain bin at a Hot Topic in 2012. I had heard of the band but never gave them a listen. The album was so cheap I decided to take a chance. I immediately fell in love and was devastated to learn they'd just gone on hiatus. They've been my favorite band ever since.

Just wanted to post that Thrice has sold out the Shrine for the summer tour. I remember there was some doubt back in the AP thread.

I was just listening to Vheissu, I almost forgot how beautiful of a song "Atlantic" is. At that point in their catalog, they really had nothing like that yet.

All this recent semi-negative talk on Major/minor has caused me to throw it on this morning. Those guitar and bass tones on Yellow Belly set such a good precedent for the record.

I was lukewarm on Major/Minor until I revisited it recently. It's not their best record, but I still really like it. I dig the grunge vibe and the key changes. It's not a huge departure from Beggars, but it definitely has its own personality.

I actually prefer M/m to Beggars, but I've found myself listening to it less and less as time has passed. Not entirely sure why. Promises, Call It In The Air, and Blur are some of my favorite Thrice tracks period. I think it might have something to do with the timing of the release (right before they announced their Hiatus) and how much I overplayed it upon it's release. I do love it, though. It also has some of Riley's best drumming, hands down.

Never understood the negative reactions to M/m. Being a Thrice fan for 15 years, I feel like the evolution to that record was fairly natural.

    Someday I’ll find me Prestigious

Maybe there was negativity because they played it rather safe and stuck with what they knew, and for a final album (as many thought it was), many might have been bummed that was "all" we were getting.

I love that album. It didn't surpass Beggars for me, but it's still a great set of songs.
