Oh sick - so I guess now most of Thrice are playing guitars/basses that they've built. Teppei is playing one of the newer ones he's made.

SSFTTR and the Beatles cover sound both just amazing, what a treat. Probably have it ready as part of the Beggars tour, I think it came out around that time?

Yea, I think both She’s So Heavy and Helter Skelter were both being played live in ‘09. I know Helter Skelter was for sure, and I have an MP3 of She’s So Heavy from right around then. They were playing She’s So Heavy on the Artist 20th anniversary shows, too.

I saw them twice this summer and they're better than ever.

Also, I think it's the first time I've ever seen them play live with someone else. Unless I'm mistaken, they've always managed to create a full sound with just the four of them on stage.

One of the best live shows I've ever seen. The wall of sound and their knowledge of shaping tones and creating atmosphere is top notch.

Seriously. While other bands use backing tracks for their interludes, they build them all live.
