Need another single ASAP

 

Thinking about it more I think I like TBEITBN best as a cohesive whole, but the highs on both Vheissu and Beggars are higher.

 

You misspelled Vheissu

 

To be fair, it is a hard word to spell.

 

I've spelled it a hundred times in this thread alone.....but still always have to google check myself to make sure it's right.

 

I wonder how many people's actual favorite Thrice album is Vheissu but they don't want to say it because they're afraid they might spell it wrong.

 

What does Vheissu mean again? I used to know lol

 

Breckenridge said the title was also the name of a "gateway at the bottom of Mount Vesuvius to a bunch of tunnels into the underworld." Kensrue found the phrase in the book V. by Thomas Pynchon. Breckenridge explained that Kensrue "thought it was a really pretty sounding word ... It's just kind of thrown out there".

 

My favorite album is Veis...Vhuie....Vhie... Beggars.

I would take that article with a grain of salt though, because it also has this sentence which is mind-boggling:

"Thrice, whose previous albums feature heavy, pounding guitar riffs harmonized by extensive guitar solos and forceful vocal screams, has released an album containing soft, melodic songs draped with only hints of the previously heavy style."

I get that a lot of the songs like For Miles, Moth to Flame and Stand and Feel Your Worth only get scream heavy at the end, but Hold Fast Hope and Earth Will Shake are heavy almost the entire way through. Even though it's a style change, the album is plenty heavy still.

 

So how about a new single from Palms huh? I really thought we'd have another one by now. It's been a month and a half since they released "The Grey"

 

Album's not out until September 14th. Three songs. One probably a week or so before release. So, I'd guess it's still a week or two away.

 

I was thinking since they released the "The Grey" In June we would get one in July, then one in August. But I don't have much issue with the above. I'll probably hold off on the 3rd song if they wait for a week before release.

 

Singles are over rated anyway ha
