lol sorry I'm so stupid, I literally asked you guys because I noticed the lengths are the same.
Now I'm just perplexed.

 

Oh definitely not lol. I doubt any artist likes putting their passion and time into a song just to have the label tell them to change it

Yeeeeeeeah - so good. I missed them in DFW last year because I didn't hear about it until the night of! Hopefully I can see them sometime soon. They're incredible.

 

I saw them with Palm Reader. Definitely don't sleep on them they're very good boys too. (RIYL Botch)

 

Speaking of 3 song stretches to open an album...Towards Dawn - Aftermath - Rituals. Excellent.

back to Thrice: The 2nd half of Blood on Blood is my favorite moment in Thrice's discography.

 

I mentioned 14 in my previous post, but I struggled to get to that number haha

 

I think vheissu, beggars and fire/water are the only clunker-free Thrice albums. I know some people aren't huge water ep fans but its among my favorite material they've written.

 

Lost Continent is a forgotten gem. Never hear much love for it.

 

The ending of that song is so powerful. The waters rising now and we will surely drown section gives me chills. It's like you can hear the urgency in the music of being on a sinking ship. Love the imagery of this track.

 

Idk why this person uploaded this as a thrice song and used artist imagery but i love Riley’s solo stuff

 

Yeah Lost Continent is spectacular and I agree the Water EP is high among their best material.

 

Don’t worry everyone...I’ve reported the individual that claimed Death From Above is a dud.

Probably the best song they’ve written since Beggars.

 

Wat. You need to report yourself for that! There's better songs on that album!

I do dig the Vheissu vibes on it though.

So I just googled this lady without any idea of who it is and I am extremely impressed.
(by now I know why she's relevant in this thread, of course, but nonetheless pleasant surprise!)

 

I can understand not liking The Dark (though I like it alot)

The Grey and Only Us are great though and the rest of this take is madness.

 

Julien Baker will be on the next thrice record.

 

That, Hurricane, The Window, Whistleblower..... there are several songs worthy of being the best on that album.

 

I've been wanting thrice to incorporate female vocals since Vheissu (those AOL sessions with the string arrangements especially). Just Breathe did not disappoint.

 

It's not a bad song. The problem is it's also not a great song. It was basically written for the "Black Honey" bandwagon, only "Black Honey" is markedly better.
