Well at least H/E will be at or near the top of lots of peoples lists from this thread.

 

It’s certainly in my top 5.

 

#2 for me. Almost a 1b with Manchester but i made myself pick one

 

It’s around 7-8ish on mine. It’s definitely my current favorite release from them.

 

I recently started looking at my music stats on my iPhone and vehissu is still my most played album, mostly from how much I played it in high school over 8 years ago lol. I was so in love with that album when I discovered it!

 

Might be my favourite based on 8 of the 10 songs. I’ve also loved the Dirty Nil album, Manchester Orchestra and Noah Gundersen. I love when the top of the list is so crowded. I may even be missing another one.

yeah, as sad as it is for me to not see one of my favs on the list, I actually wouldn't really expect them to put Thrice on theirs, just due to their profile and trends. But most of those artists I'm actually fimiliar with as well, somehow it fits. Hopefuly Thrice will get some more recognition somewhere else!

 

It was actually a good list

 

My final verdict on this album: it rules. Probably their best since Beggars.

 

Listening to this record a lot still. This is in My favourite 5 records this year all 5 have all stayed in listening rotation pretty consistently this year.

 

Excited to see him mention Horizons/West in this! Even if it's brief

Agreed. Happy to see the mention of West. I hope they put a time line on West, even if it’s vague like summer or fall or whatever

 

I skipped it the first time around I saw it, but it is interesting and great to see I actually share some of my approach to collecting music with him hahh. Also, the same Radiohead fav for me, and I do love The National as well, didn't really expect to see some of it there.

 

Apparently there is a special announcement coming tomorrow for the alliance. Potentially horizons/west? Probably something vinyl related though lol

I hope they put a date on Horizons/West. Quietly anticipating this album. It’d be awesome if they dropped a new single from album, but I’m not expecting it until later this year.

 

Apparently it’s a “very special alliance exclusive announcement” tomorrow at 10 am est. I’m not part of alliance, but I usually feel like thrice are under whelming when things like that are said. Cautiously optimistic lol

Maybe a new “live from the apple store” event to coincide with apples event tomorrow lol. Thinking back, that actually seemed like a pretty big deal for them/Thursday to do those events for apple. Funny that they did it/it was a split because they always got lumped with Thursday. Hearing interviews it sounds like they were somewhat bummed about that even though they liked them. From the podcasts I’ve heard it sounds like they wish they could have toured with more different bands during that era

 

Thrice are almost too humble to hype themselves and don’t really look for drama. You’re probably right that’s it’s something fairly standard like a tour announcement and or vinyl. Either way I’m excited to know they working on a next record already (after giving us an awesome release last year).

 

another thing I would stoked for is re-recordings or reimagining of old songs. Not sure if that would ever happen but it would come out great.

I wondered if those reimagined songs would be what followed Palms/Deeper Wells EP. Plus the world shut down and touring had stopped. Didn’t know they had started working on Horizons but I’m so delighted they did. I could see those re-imagined still happening some day now that they’ve built their own studio and have a good thing going with Epitaph. They seemed interested in it…but for now I’m so pleased to know another record is coming. A reimagined record seems like something that would happen between albums cycles.
