Wow, hugely surprising. I don't like Mayday Parade and this surely means a smaller set from TWY.

I dunno, I love them but this doesn't sound great. That said, if Mayday Parade close, I can catch Jamie All Over and get an early night.

Mayday have played some of the venues before, TWY have never headlined venues this big.

Also the last two Mayday albums are great

I just don't like them to be honest haha.

I just thought that it seems like TWY are more relevant than them these days, but I understand that Mayday Parade are the more well known band so I guess it makes sense.

Mayday is exactly the kind of boo hoo my girlfriend is with another dude pop punk I can’t stand, I hate academies, I want a full TWY set, I don’t wanna pay that much money for a show, I hate the mayday crowd even more than I do the twy crowd, finally a tour I can whine about endlessly

Do they still play that ultra depressing song about his ex dancing with another dude?

they did when I had the displeasure to see them

Ultimately my problem with MP is that they are the straightest band on earth. So many boring straight people in one place crying about their boring ex

It's a real bummer cause it seemed like the band wanted to use this cycle to move away from that kind of association.

I don't get it. Mayday Parade don't seem the worst band I know of but I'd hazard a guess and say that TWY realise that they need to associate with bands like this to play venues this size.

True. I'm equally disappointed that they're touring with Have Mercy in 2018, too.

As someone who never understood the love for Mayday Parade initially , and had always found them to be a bit generic (when ATL, Mayday, Hit The lights first started, I was convinced that Pop punk had hit rock bottom) but I’ve always had a deep respect for Mayday because of their work ethic and genuine love for doing what they do. I remember reading years back that they were like one of the most touring artists, putting on a ridiculous amount of shows a year. Their hard work and effort really shows, and am happy they are still able To do what they do and have a great and consistently happy fan base.

I'd be down for that tour. Mayday Parade are still around because they're pretty consistent in providing some quality pop rock tunes... and I'm a sucker for bittersweet power pop choruses.

You would probably enjoy their second latest record, Black Lines, it was produced by Mike Sapone.
