No it's on Spotify and probably the other streaming services.

 

Those were remastered and rereleased when he got signed. I would guess it wouldn't be *that* hard to find the OG versions.

I'd liken this to a little but more polished version of his early work, and it's fucking amazing

 

Kinda mad this is only 6 songs because if this were a full length of the same quality I might like it more than House of Balloons

Last video I'll post of his old stuff. His cover of Dirty Diana is probably what made me take interest in him in the first place. Also, the mystery around the whole thing was really intriguing. He was independent, released these albums for free (I'm pretty sure?), and there wasn't a lot of info about who he actually was.

 

Yeah Drake posted What You Need, Loft Music, and The Morning on his old blog in late 2010 then House of Balloons dropped in early 2011 for free on his site and the other two came like 4 months apart.
He stayed pretty mysterious until he played Coachella in 2012 if I recall then he signed with republic and they repackaged all 3 tapes into the Trilogy and sold it

 

Yeah, by the time I got into him in the summer of 2012, the 3 parts of the trilogy were out but there was still a lot of mystery around him. I remember going to best buy and buying the 3 cd set the day it came out, haha. Might've been the last cd(s) i bought.

 

I was at that Coachella set and honestly, wasn't really into the live show at the time

 

He really improved. He was a little shaky back then

 

Yeah watching that video back compared to his performances now is night and day. You could tell he was nervous as hell

I read a while back he was still working in an American Apparel when he put out the first three songs and they would play them in the store having no idea who he was lol
