He's already done so many different sounds as The Weeknd so I have no idea what he would do that he thinks he couldn't do under that name

With his love for bands like Deftones and blink-182 along with the many rock bands he's sampled, him doing a rock album would not surprise me.

 

I think him doing something along the lines of Lil Yachty's new album could be fantastic

 

A new song featuring Playboi Carti played when Abel was on the red carpet at Cannes… honestly I think this could be song of the summer based on the snippets people recorded. Rumor is it drops next week… a lot of people think Pharrell was involved in the production for this, has a very throwback early 2000s beat that sounds like The Neptunes for sure. Very unexpected sound for both Abel and Carti but it sounds SO good imo

Very curious to see if the whole soundtrack is The Weeknd, or more. I would expect like 3-4 Weeknd tracks, would be great to get some new Troye music, and maybe some Lily songs? Songs from the show itself? That's my guess

The Weeknd and Madonna (surprisingly) sound really good, and the track vibes really hard... Playboy Carti.... sounds fucking stupid

 

Yeah, I usually enjoy Carti but he feels out of place here imo. Otherwise it’s a phenomenal track.

 

His quiet mumbles have a place (see: EARFQUAKE), but they don't fit here at all
