Listened to this the other night while driving home from a concert at 1am. This album + a dark highway = perfection.

  3. This record reminds me a lot of BI,BI. A little bit of sonic similarity but mostly because of its scope and the way it affects me. That probably makes zero sense but oh well.

Kind of reminds me of that album, too, just in how I sort of get lost in it. It's less about the individual songs for me and more about the total experience of the record.

Sounded great in Philly last night. They played "Eyes to the Wind," prob my favorite song by them. Lotta older folks there though, which I guess I shouldn't have found surprising in retrospect.

  9. And yeah, this is my favorite album of the year and that is unlikely to change I'd say.

Can’t wait to see these guys tonight.

Side note: I have a spare ticket if y’all know someone in Portland, OR.

This album is so immersive. So easy to get lost in.

It’s been a great comfort to me over the past few days.

These guys will be local for me this Sunday for a "Holiday soiree" at a small club. I think I'm about to pull the trigger on a ticket before it sells out even though I only really listened to this new album once time through once. I just never got around to listening more, or being in the right mood or setting.

Blows me away every time. It's amazing how you can listen to this in pretty much any capacity. It's a huge sweeping album that warrants attentive listens but can also be easy-listening. You can have it playing in the background and not pay full attention to it, and then every once in a while, a massive guitar solo just pulls you back in. Lyrics on this are also very beautiful.

    I'm not brave Prestigious

I’m usually not the biggest listener of indie rock and of the influences this band pulls from, but this band’s albums absolutely captivate me every time I listen. It’s hard for me to explain why this connects with me so much more than other similar bands/artists... I guess the sense of scope and grandeur to these compositions. In any case, this is a strong AOTY contender for me.

I echo the above comments, this album is great

Lost In The Dream pulled me in, and this album is like the perfect sequel

Pain will be on my Best of 2017 compilation album, the production on that song is so warm and crisp

Strangest Thing is incredible. That main riff is one of the prettiest pieces of indie rock I've heard in a long time.

Most obvious comparison in the world, but I can’t hear the opening line of “Pain” (“Go to bed now...”) without thinking of Springsteen’s “Independence Day.”
