Bert's voice is really good live, I don't remember it being like that? Might have to catch them on the next tour

 

They’ve been a very good live band at least for the last decade. Bert’s done a really good job at taking care of his voice post-surgery. The only thing they’re missing is his screaming of course.

This is genuinely the stupidest album rollout I have ever seen if Fuck You and People Are Vomit are not on the album.

11 new songs and just over 30 minutes and you couldn’t tack on the songs you’ve released in the last six months? I just don’t get it.

 

Also, why did I fork out $50 to preorder this new 30 minute album on double vinyl? You can easily fit the whole album on one record. Nothing about this release makes any sense.

 

If a band I really liked teased a new album by releasing b-sides first and left more of the actual album to hear first on release day I'd be very into that.

Not saying it's a smart move for the band. But selfishly I don't hate it.

 

In the streaming age I don’t really care because those songs are in my library regardless, but speaking as someone who really likes both of them, if I was buying this record I would be pretty annoyed they aren’t on it lol

 

if you reversed that, I’m all on board. Also, why release a b-side three months before the release of the album alongside preorders though? That makes little sense and completely screws with expectations.

 

I don’t like this near as much as the last two, which makes it all even more confusing to me lol

 

I’m very into releasing non-album singles as promo for the album, kinda fun to have more new shit to look forward to.

 

It's cool if the singles aren't that good and every song on the album is better than them. Otherwise it's not so cool.

 

Without even hearing the rest of it, numb second on the tracklist feels like weird placement imo

 

Numb is easily the best of the new songs.

 

Yeah I think I like Numb more than the other two I just wish it wasn't so repetitive.

 

I THINK I like Numb. At first I was meh on it, but after a few listens it's pretty good. Pretty different for them, so that's cool.

Numb is nice, but it seems to end abruptly or just too soon, ya know? I think they spend too much time at the beginning building it up instead of developing it more later and/or adding another verse or so. Well, that was my first listen thought.
This album is one of my most anticipated albums of the year. It's so weird if the other singles will not be on it, but I'll be happy with anything rather than nothing at this point.

 

Ah, just gotta pay $45 for that one and you get to use the other record as a coaster or something. Album rollout has been a mess.

 

The anticipation is killing me!
