The same thing is basically happening to DCA. The whole point of the park was to be based off of California culture, but now it’s just a hodgepodge of IPs. I’m not surprised that DHS is ultimately going the same route

 

It would be sick if they made another ride with this guy

 

It just occurred to me: With the Aerosmith stuff gone, Tower Of Terror is now going to be the lone WDW attraction that is based on non-Disney IP.

I hope they move the mat with the key thing to RNRC though.

 

They're adding a new area to Magic Kingdom? And while they do have a ton of land from what I've heard most of it isn't usable for building on, too swampy

 

I wonder if parks fans are going to freak out this hard when Disney eventually replaces Star Tours.

 

I have heard some people say if WDW ever builds a 5th gate park it would probably in that open area just north of the cluster of Disney Springs area third party resorts.

It’s funny to see it referred to as a Wicked Land given the original source material is potentially the most timeless film of all time. No shade, it’s just interesting.

 

We saw MuppetVision on our last trip. It was fine. By no means did I think to myself, when this goes away we need to preserve it. My kids enjoyed it just fine.

I like the RnR coaster idea if you can pick your own songs like on Rip Ride Rockit or they have a good variety. I kind of laugh at the idea of them packing up any Muppet related decor and animatronics and putting them in boxes to drag across the park. Like are we reusing the penguins, Statler and Waldorf, etc.?

It honestly seems like they are throwing so many different ideas out to see what sticks. It will be interesting to see what gets built beyond Tropical Americas.

 

MuppetVision's reverence is mostly due to it being Jim Henson's last project

 

I played hooky and went to DL today and had a good time. Nothing beats the holidays at the parks!

A couple notes/notable events from my trip.

1. Went on six rides total and two of them broke down while we were in line. Had to exit and everything

2. Got the wettest I’ve ever been on Pirates. Like, Splash Mountain-level soaked. Did they do something to the ride to make it like that? Usually I only get a couple drops on me at most…

3. The turkey dinner potato at the Troubadour Tavern absolutely bangs

 

Yeah Universal is 100% going to do a Wicked themed land in FL

 

still time to ride dinosaur hallelujah
