Jenny's channel has been dormant for over a year since her Evermore video, and then today suddenly pops up with a 4 hour video about the rise and fall of the Galactic Starcruiser

 

Ok so I watched the entire Jenny video. In the end she hits the nail on the head, Starcruiser was likely the result of a Disney executive internally saying "hey you know all the coolest ideas for Galaxy's Edge we were originally planning to give to guests in the parks and touted during our initial announcement? What if we just lock those away in a separate building and paywall them like it's physical DLC that costs 6 grand?"

 

I haven't watched the video yet...

But the best parts of the Starcruiser were the interactions with the cast/characters and that wouldn't be possible to the same extent in the parks. There can be glimpses of it, and I've seen it with Vi and to a lesser extent Rey, but the full immersion of the events on the Starcruiser don't work as just a thing that people visiting a portion of the park for an hour or two get.

It was probably one of the best things they've created in a long time but ultimately just too expensive, both the overhead costs to run it and the cost to attend it.

The incline to the Land at Epcot is so exhausting.

 

especially after a few drinks in almost 100 degree weather. Was at EPCOT Saturday and it was sooooo hot.

 

I was there yesterday.

I walk slow because of my leg so I can feel people shuffling behind me in those long queues that are half empty. Soarin' is awkward too.

Woke up at 3am on the last night of my trip to the sound of the new drone show being tested on the lake at Disney Springs. Also watched one of the drones fall into the lake

 

A Shrekzel, eh?

 

Watched a walkthrough of DreamWorks Land. Seemed like the coolest possible version of a kid friendly land they could do. Tons of interactive little activities using animatronics and projection screens. Little kids will love this.

My favorite part is the animatronic talking Pinocchio in the middle of the the Shrek playground.
