I will be that guy that often slows down to allow people ahead of me to get out of my sight lines at HHN.

The workers will tell me to hurry up and I’m like ok but I can maintain a nice gap usually.

I'm heading out to the LA area for Chistmas to go to the Chargers/Bills game and my partner and I decided since we're away from our families on Christmas Eve to do something fun, hit up a park.

Magic Mountain is at the top of my list but it seems like its really run down from reviews and you never know which rides will be open. If we go there I'll def spring for the Platinum FP since they're only open till 6pm, but staffing there on Xmas even has me worried that a lot will be closed.

Never been to Knotts or MM, been to both Disneyland and Universal. For the price of a MM ticket and Platinum FP it's like $450, about the same price as a hopper at Disneyland. For anyone that's been to MM is it truly that bad? Is it risky attending around the holidays with their already bad ops/staffing? Is Knotts worth a visit?

Honestly the ambiance is more fun than the actual haunted houses. I don't have a free ticket this year from an annual pass but I might book a room and buy a ticket and express pass.

I haven’t been to MM in 20 years, so I can’t really vouch for it, but I would do Knott’s, tbh. I haven’t been in 12 years, but it’ll be during Knott’s Merry Farm which I hear is fun. That being said, I think Knott’s also has its own issues too.

I would just do Disney again, tbh. Haha. But Christmas is actually one of the busiest times of the year for it. But god, going to Disney on Christmas Eve or Christmas would be so magical. I hope to do it sometime

think we might just end up at Disney, I’m going to World in Nov but haven’t been to Land in like a decade. The MM coasters looks amazing but can’t rely on them being open.

    Fun must be always. Prestigious

knotts is the best deal overall tbh. It be like $120 for unlimited food/drinks/rides. Disney has the magic but knotts saves money

Unless you're like a hardcore coaster head, don't do Magic Mountain. Knott's has some good coasters, plus much better theming, much cleaner and nicer, great food, good prices, and is in an area with much more to do, Valencia sucks.

Yeah MM is also in a very weird, secluded area of LA County. The only thing that area has going for it is MM and Farrell’s Ice Cream. Otherwise, it sucks over there.

EDIT: Well, it appears that Farrell’s closed, so aside from MM, that area has nothing going for it lmao

I grew up even further north of there, and our idea of something nice to do was drive to Valencia to go to BJs.

Used to love Magic Mountain back in the day. My dad's company would have Family Day there where they would close down the park for just his company. We used to be able to just stay on rides and go multiple times.

Do we think anything besides Zootopia and maybe Moana at Animal Kingdom will actually be announced today at the D23 panel? I doubt it. Feel like they are just going to rehash global projects in development and give more details on those.

I doubt they invest anything in the Florida parks while fighting with Desantis but who knows. That would be a convenient excuse for them not to have anything planned

This is worse than anyone could imagine. Why can’t these people talk like humans. To make it worse they are making them interact with muppets constantly.

Also don’t stream something targeted at guests that are in the room.

Heather if you bring 4 guests on the ship, you die.

Universal executives are probably hammered already because they see the pile of money

I still think getting rid of dinoland is a mistake but this is a million times better than the zootopia / moana idea

I don’t see this being followed through on. They need more attractions.

The cruise guy said like three times, you may bring up to 3 guests with you multiple times.
