I miss living in SoCal and having AP's from 95-2009 (and then working at DL for a bit). Could never get bored. Drop in for a couple hours, never really care about line length, just take in the vibes and a show... cannot wait to retire and move closer to the parks again (DL or WDW).

Our friends have a Disney credit card and they put any bill and purchase that they can on it then use the cash back to help fund their trips. I think they said they had almost $5,000 they used on their trip last year, and $2,000 this year

It is definitely nice being an hour from seven theme parks and Busch Gardens just being a little further.

I'm in Maryland, so FL is a flight for me. I only go once a year though, and it is very expensive. But it's what I like so I do it. I do a lot of trips in the spring/summer to National Parks so I hardly spend money there (just flights and cheap hotels/AirBnBs).

I've never had a chance to get up to Silver Dollar City. My fiance & her mom & sister went a few years back and they got stuck on one of the rides and had to be evacuated lol

Oh yeah Branson is a whole thing. It’s the cleanest trashiest city. Pigeon Forge is the only place that compares.

Wife and I went there about 12 years ago - really fun park. Was planning on going back this season with the kids for the first time, now I really want to go with that news coming out.

I haven't been to AI in years and I am shocked this didn't already have a kid splash zone. I thought that was like a day 1 water park feature

It is unfortunate because Disney is generally much better than Universal Studios about this kind of thing. The Avatar ride is the major one many people cannot ride, and the Seven Dwarves ride can be extremely painful if you have large thighs.

Pretty sure that second tweet is just false. I've read multiple times that there is regular coaster seats in the back for people that can't sit in the standard seats. It does mean you may have to wait even longer which sucks, but there is an option

It is so strange when the blogs and "influencers" use corporate language like "cast member" or calls rides attractions. One even says TM when they refer to Hagrid's.

A lot of the Disney vloggers I follow are former castmembers/college program participants so it never bothered me that they still used inside lingo.

This is like people who complain about wrestling fans using "inside" wrestling terminology. Lighten up.

It is lighter to talk like a normal human being than a robot for a multi-billion dollar conglomerate. It is like nails on a chalkboard.
