Does this mean a ToT retheme is imminent? I hope not. Aren't they making a new ToT movie anyway?

My prediction is they keep it ToT but just re-theme is slightly to get rid of the Twilight Zone stuff. That it will still be Tower Of Terror, but without Rod Serling.

It's the one of two attractions at WDW themed after a non-Disney IP (other being RnRC which i also think will be re-themed). ToT is scheduled to get it's own movie so i think they're keeping it just making it more it's own thing not connected to anything else.

They have so many different towers around the world, it would be nice to preserve the original

Maybe they will put up a new moving billboard for I dunno lightning lane or some expensive dessert fireworks party.

My prediction is the next big project at HS will be to clean up Sunset:
    • ToT refurb where they just get rid of the Twilight Zone IP references while keeping it Tower of Terror similar to the one at Disneysea
    • RnRC starring Queen (which is a Disney IP technically)
    • New live show replacing the old ass BatB show.
    • Fantasmic is already touched up recently and the Cars thing will remain.
Bam! "New Sunset" without having to build new ride structures, really do that much work, or spend that much money.

they'll rename it "Disney+ S+ree+", ToT will be rethemed to Loki or something, RnR rethemed to the Mandalorian, Fantasmic rethemed to, fucking Hawkeye the stunt show or something stupid, who cares anymore

I didn't see Falcon and the Winter Soldier but wasn't there a Capt America musical or something? Great, we're getting that in the BatB theater. Eat your slop, IP fans

I think ToT will remain the same, but i'd bet a years salary Rockin Rollercoastr is re-themed within 5 years.

I wonder if Captain Marvel is a character they can get away with using. I could easily see them doing something Marvel in RNR just like they did with Iron Man in Paris but with a character outside the IOA east of the Mississippi deal.

would they put a stand alone marvel ride in 2 different parks? with Guardians going in Epcot, I'd have thought they'd re-theme RnR with something else. I always thought a Big Hero 6 coaster would be great. That movie needs way more park representation.

If they're going to do BH6 anywhere it's going to be at Epcot's Japan Pavillion.

I cant see how they can find a way to insert Marvel or really much else into the RnRC space without it really clashing with the Sunset theme. Even that Cars circlevision thing kind of fits the theme of LA being a car town. Who knows anymore though GotG barely fits in EPCOT either.

That's why i think it's best to just switch out the band. Cheaper, quicker, lower risk, doesn't mess with the theme. Disney owns the Queen music library already, they also own the rights to that Rami Malek movie a couple years ago, their music is timeless and still relevant in a way that Aerosmith just isn't. Just re-theming it to Queen is the smartest move IMO.

I’d be on board with a pick your song style like Rip Ride Rocket at UO. Call it Return of Superstar Limo

If I’m trying to visit Disneyland in October how far in advance should I reserve tickets? I assume “as soon as possible” but boy they aren’t cheap

The calendar looks pretty promising right now, even with all of the Halloween Party dates selling out. But I know my dates in June ended up selling out about a month before we went, so I'd get them sooner rather than later just in case.

If it helps, Undercover Tourist sells refundable tickets if you're going more than one day -- if you do eventually need a refund, they keep 5% of the ticket cost, but you get the other 95% back. They're (very) slightly discounted, too. I've used them for trips to Disney and Universal as well as processed a refund for a trip; they're really good and customer service is great.

Don't know if you eventually got a hotel from your previous post, but if you stay out around the Toy Story lot, you can jump on the Disney shuttle rather than walk to the parks. We stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites Anaheim Resort, and that was a lifesaver, especially we had to go back to the hotel every afternoon so my daughter could rest.

If you haven't gotten a hotel, I've found crazy low rates on Undercover Tourist, too.

My mom noticed it actually lol, she said it was being advertised on the WDW website. So I called customer service and since we are paid off he is just crediting back the difference

@oncenowagain is genie+ Changing though? The rep made it sound like they are just charging day of, instead of a lump sum before the visit.

Since I was actually just looking at this today, it apparently changed at the beginning of June (unless you bought your tickets prior to 6/8). You now have to purchase Genie+ separately on each morning you go to the parks - it opens at midnight, but you can't make any selections until 7 am.

Gotcha! That makes sense, since the rep was modifying my room reservation he said he had to take my pre-purchased genie+ off of my account, but yeah said I could purchase them morning of.

Does anyone use Touring Plans? You can plan your day minute-by-minute for all Disney World parks, Disneyland, California Adventure, and the Universal parks in Florida. It'll sequence everything, so it's the most time efficient. It also now can factor in Genie+ reservations, too. In conjunction with that, I used Thrill Data to figure out the best order for Genie+, and it really helped on our Disneyland trip.

Touring Plans is also connected to the Lines app, which will give a far better estimate of wait times in the park. For instance, on our trip, Disney was posting a 50 minute wait for Splash Mountain, while Lines had the accurate 20 minute wait posted.
