Meeee. I'm almost clear. My artist told me that my skin takes really well to ink. She did the tattoos in the 2nd & 3rd photos. Oh, & she only uses vegan ink. Here are 3/5 of mine:

My giraffes! (Super hard to take a photo of by myself since its on my thigh.)

Love the sketchiness to them(art style not illegitimacy ha!).

Haha, same. That's what really drew me to her. Unfortunately a few months after she did my giraffes she injured her hand and can no longer tattoo. :( It's a shame because she was so psyched to do more work for me.

    Thanks!

(I also failed at executing a multi quote reply so I hope this works.)

Thanks. The dude is sick. His color is so good and I'm white enough that anything will show up. He's also really fast. He did the Circa Survive balloon in 4 hours and the other 2 in 2. Henry Lewis at Skull and Sword in San Francisco if you wanted to check his other work out online.

  9. Wow, these are amazing...thanks for the reply! My Mac DeMarco tattoo will be similar in the sense that it's the handwriting of the musical artist.

it says "I'd say you'd make a perfect angel in the snow", opening lyrics to my favourite song by my favourite artist. Should probably get it touched up soon

I got this one in Berlin. Arrow for adventure and shit, XIV for 2014, the year I got it.

The Shamrock (my first) is based off a tattoo my dad had that was exactly the same except for the banner, and the sunflower was a Mother's Day present for my mom last year.

This is a matching tattoo with the first friend I've ever had. We play a dice game called Bones, so we got a skull and dice. (Mine is the one with less tats)

It was all about the tribute for me. And shockingly it really didn't hurt that bad. The one on my forearm was definitely the most painful.

You should get one on your ribs, then report back haha.

  16. This is so sick, been watching her on Ink Master and she's great.

  17. Drewski

    Maybe so, maybe not.

Thanks! Yeah she's incredibly talented, and she's also an unbelivably nice and genuine person. Weird thing is, I really don't think she even needed to go on the show. I've watched every episode of Ink Master and I really think she's one of the 3 most talented people to ever be on it. That being said, the show is starting to get on my nerves.

For one thing, just so over edited now with contrived drama cranked way too high and too many commercials. On top of that, I'm starting to kind of sour on the idea of "Ink Master." If your speciality is portaits, or color surrealism or something like that, no one is going to come to you for a Japense tattoo. It just makes no sense. People have specialities for a reason.

I'm sure the ribs would hurt like a bitch. I was just surprised at how manageable the pain was on my hands

  19. Yeah I feel that, I'm all about shitty reality shows though, girlfriend and I still watch The Real World and The Challenge on MTV so we love Ink Master haha

I have a huge one on my side/ribs and all I can say is it's incredibly painful, so much that I need to get it touched up and don't really want to because it hurts so bad haha.

We watched the first 2 seasons of Ink Master but the third really started to get irritating with how drama filled everything was and how scripted everything seemed so we stopped watching. Didn't realize it was still airing honestly.

I only watched half of last season. Really only tuning into this one so I can root on Megan Jean.

i really wanna get a No Kings logo tat with the phrase "Le roi est mort, vive le roi!" encircling it as an bitterly humorous statement about the demons of self-loathing/perfectionism Sylvia Plath discussed in her diaries that resonated with me

I have a love/hate relationship with Ink Master. I hate all the drama and bullshit and flash challenges. I do enjoy the tattoos though and usually skip ahead on my DVR and just watch the tattoos/judging. I do agree with whoever said that people have specialities for a reason and if someone's a new school artist I'm not going to them for a portrait. Some of the artists they get are pretty bad though.

  24. I have a very simple tattoo that I feel like was done by "new school" artist. I wanted the owner of the shop to tattoo me because he's tattooed me before, but he was busy so the new artist ended up tatting me. I showed the guy what I wanted and used different images and pointed out which part I wanted. At first he didn't listen and just free handed what I wanted and it looked like shit imo. I had to show him the image I wanted again. The tattoo wasn't place where I thought it was and the location bothers me a little. So yeah, I'll never get any tattoo done buy a new artist if they can't draw something very simple to the point I feel like I can do a better job.
