Putting Last Nite and Reptilia right at the beginning of a set list like that, insanity. Those are encore songs

 

Was inspired by the time I saw The Killers open with Mr Brightside haha

 

I actually don't like when bands open with some of their biggest songs, I never feel like I'm in the full "concert mode" until like two or three songs in so I'm never fully into it yet so I don't experience the songs that well if that makes sense. Happened when I saw FOB open with Sugar We're Going Down a few years ago

God I fucking miss concerts

 

This has grown on me a lot since Friday. Ode to the Mets is really getting to me.

 

This is all I want to listen to now.

 

Love P4K out in left field dead ass alone on this one.

 

Anyone else notice the guitar lick from “Why Are Sunday’s So Depressing?” sounds like Maxine Nightingale’s “Where We Started From”. Mainly on the outro. 3:30 and on.

The only part of the Pitchfork review I agree with is the part about Austin Powers. I can’t not hear it now.

 

He sounds like Austin Powers in the bridge of Eternal Summer? I don't really hear it at all. Some lines he sounds vaguely British but those still sound more like just nasally slurred speech

 

It’s nothing I ever would have thought of myself, but now that it’s been said, I find myself chuckling when he screams “psychedelic.”

I like the song tho.

 

Is it just me or did Julian just randomly start doing falsetto in the 2010's lol

Comedown Machine was the first time I noticed it. Did he do it before then that I’m forgetting?

 

It’s definitely become more prominent. It’s great throughout CM and TNA.

I was listening to “Chances” last night....that’s one of the best Strokes songs. Gorgeous.

The best outcome from this really good Strokes record is that I’ve rediscovered Comedown Machine and it’s fantastic.

 

The last 90 seconds of “Ode to the Mets” feels like slowly ascending into orbit and then bursting into flames it’s so good

 

Lol this is me. I'm really into this one though, so much so I might go back to the others.

 

“Chances” is my favorite on that album.
